Look at this article by Ashley Lutz. Why doesn't the DOJ enforce the anti-trust laws against these dangerous monopolies?

These 6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America
Ashley Lutz; Jun. 14, 2012

"This infographic created by Jason at Frugal Dad shows that almost all media comes from the same six sources.

That's consolidated from 50 companies back in 1983.

NOTE: This infographic is from last year and is missing some key transactions. GE does not own NBC (or Comcast or any media) anymore. So that 6th company is now Comcast. And Time Warner doesn't own AOL, so Huffington Post isn't affiliated with them.

But the fact that a few companies own everything demonstrates 'the illusion of ch Frugal Dad says. While some big sites, like Digg and Reddit aren't owned by any of the corporations, Time Warner owns news sites read by millions of Americans every year."

Previously, in 1983, there were 50 companies that owned 90% ov all American media. More lately, depicted on the site's graphics, are the 2011 stats for ownership:

Comcast (bought out GE), News Corp, Disney, Viacom, Time/Warner, CBS

How horrific can this list be? This completes the cycle of corporate cronyism, once more, government infuses itself into the free market and free press. It looks like the 7th corporate monopoly over the media is the US Government.

Note when you listen to WABC Radio that nearly half of the ads are from the US Government's Advertisement Counsel, government subsidies to "charities" ads (HHS, Transportation, DHS, AARP, etc.) are hogging limited available air time, all awhile jacking up the cost of air time against small business advertising, further shutting out rising corporate competitors in the free market!

So, are we to assume that all the rightwing talkshow hosts are government plants phishing for radicals?

Let's hope the Internet can level the playing field. Take a look at a new media control attempt by Obama's gang:

The Online Sales Simplification Act

This is an Internet Sales Tax to be levied on us citizens and businesses in all 50 states with IRS oversight, literally taxing free speech websites, usage of search engines, as well as sales and purchases.

The Democrats so greatly fear that the poor might become educated in spite of MSM monopoly of the press, radio and TV, that they are going to tax the Internet into oblivion! This new bill will be introduced after Labor Day and needs to be stopped in its tracks. Please feel free to make a few targeted calls to your representatives.

If the National Security Agency holds every one of Hillary's 77,500 emails, (30,000 old + 33,000 destroyed + 14,500 newly discovered = 77,500 emails), then certainly the NSA has all of our posts on OPP, Mr. bggammers.

Of course, we have no way to know how they collate this data to find terrorists, or criminals, or political foes, or patriots, for that matter.

One would think it more pragmatic to identify criminal activity by monitoring known criminals, instead of monitoring conversations amongst 7.2 billion people on earth. Why not collate data from police reports and arrest records? How could NSA hold 77,500 State Department emails originating out of the Chappaqua basement, much of them classified, and allow hackers a free-for-all for 4 years? Every State and Federal employee must take breach of confidentiality classes and sign an affidavit to protect all clientele or face criminal penalties.

Historically, most spies and criminal collaborators have known each other personally for years and move between house to house or in social circles of colleges, clubs, or churches, with no paper trails, like the old Cambridge Spies: Hollis, Philby, Burgess and Mclean.

If there is recruiting of spies on the Internet, then the private owners of these websites need to be taken to court for aiding and abetting the enemy. Instead, we have the government wishing to take over the entire Internet, and there is no saying that the government might not be even more criminal in its intent.

Just imagine Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State ordering all incriminating evidence against her husband being removed from State Department files, or purging all incriminating records against China's international wheeling and dealing, assigning some agent to comb through the archives? Just imagine Hillary releasing the imprisoned FBI mole, Robert Hanssen to purge the FBI files and finish the job he started? What price do we pay by electing these SDS communists to the highest office in the land?
