Fearful of 'Rigged' Election, Trump Recruits Monitors for Polling Places

Donald Trump is recruiting volunteers to monitor polls on Election Day to ward off what he fears could be "rigged" election, The Washington Times reports.

But voter-rights groups say the plan borders on voter intimidation, and add that those monitors would not be allowed inside polling places in accordance with federal law.

"I'm not sure he knows what he's got in mind, but it has heightened our concerns …" Witold Walczak, legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, told The Times. "Questioning the integrity of an election is extremely dangerous."

At a rally last month, Trump said the only way he would lose Pennsylvania to Democratic rival Hillary Clinton is if cheating occurs, according to the newspaper.

A section recently added to Trump's official campaign website explains where supporters can get more information on how to be a "volunteer Trump Election Observer."

I don't know what Trump has in mind-or can legally do, but in 2012 I remember Republican election observers were prohibited from doing their LEGAL jobs

sicilianthing, A message for those " Voters Groups " : Just exactly how do you expect the citizens of this nation to respond to the problem of precinct protocol being tampered with when george soros is known to be furnishing voting machines?!!!!

Not only does he furnish the tools but is financially contributing to rebels like black lives matter, black panthers, and more, to interrupt in any way they can. If the "powers that be" are disturbed with the Trump plan, I would suggest that the Trump campaign concentrate on seeing to it that every precinct in every county of this country are protected by law enforcement. Every town council needs to be prepared now to enforce the rights of all citizens their Constitutional right to vote. Every precinct needs to be preparing their Register Books right now to ensure all names of people who have died, have moved, whatever, are removed and all records brought up to date BEFORE November 08, 2016.

I'll never forget my experience one year working at the local precinct and finding a few people from La Raza standing in front of the door looking straight at my table with the most intimidating looks of hatred. All we volunteers were doing was the job assigned to us. Those people had NO reason to do that. And the democrats paint them all as such suffering mistreated persons! Actions like that, with No reason other than to intimidate and disturb, are what lead to civil unrest which is the exact agenda of the progressive democrats.
