BREAKING: Herman Cain Exposes Sick Truth Behind Epi-Pen Scandal

The EpiPen scandal has taken the internet by storm. Since the massive price increase, it’s drawn a wide spectrum of criticism — from Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton to “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli.

But Herman Cain’s site revealed the truth in a damning post, summarizing it perfectly with one line: “Hillary feigns outrage, but everything about this has Democrat fingerprints on it.”

By now, many people know that Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin’s daughter, Heather Bausch, is the CEO of EpiPen maker Mylan, but many have no idea how much the left has ruined the pharmaceutical industry.

“(T)he truly uncomfortable truth for Democrats is that the EpiPen price spike is not so much the product of ‘greed’ as it is the product of one company having a monopoly. And that the direct result of the Democrat-controlled Food and Drug Administration’s persistent refusal to allow anyone to compete with Mylan in the sale of Epi-Pen,” CainTV Editor Dan Calabrese wrote.

Under Democrat leadership, competition is stifled by government rules and regulations, effectively killing the most fundamental free-market principle of “supply and demand.”

If people desperately need your product — and you’re the only provider of that product — you can hike your prices and know that it’ll still fly off the shelves. The Wall Street Journal reported that businesses have attempted to compete with Mylan, but have had no success simply because of the FDA.

“The FDA pulls crap like this all the time,” Calabrese raved. “This is the exact same reason Turin was able to gain a monopoly and hike the price of Daraprim, and now we’re seeing it again with Mylan and Epi-Pen. Pharmaceutical companies know that they can charge prices like this because most patients are covered by insurance and the insurers will grumble and pay the bills.”

“And that, by the way, is another reason you can tie this to Democrats. They’re the ones who hate the idea of patients self-paying for medical care, and want to make everyone dependent on third-party payers heavily regulated by the government,” he wrote.

Hillary Clinton knows that her policies and cronies caused this disaster with EpiPen, but she won’t tell the American people that — she’ll either be put away in November or survive the political winds long enough to show what crony capitalism really is.

The banking and money industry is more heavily regulated than the pharmaceutical or health care industries, even though you cannot copyright or patent money. Were other industries allowed to conduct business in the same manner as the pharma and health related industries, you would pay $65 for a toothbrush. Perhaps it's time to require those two rogue industries to comply with the same business practices as every other industry. Before you lay ALL of this at the feet of Democrats, answer this question; how is it that the party that is all about capitalism and market competition - consistently give big pharma and the health industries a pass - especially since they gained control of the Congress in 2012?

Seems to me that the GOP has had ample time to correct the Democrats mistakes. Doesn't it seem that way to you?
