".. the United States has developed a dependency on the private sector to wage war, a strategic vulnerability. Today, America can no longer go to war without the private sector."

THE HIDDEN COST OF AMERICA'S ADDICTION TO MERCENARIES

(That ratio, 1:1, jumped to 3:1...... what could that mean?)

Mercenaries not bound by the same rules of engagement make for more success?? How about allowing our elite Military you do their job?? Hindered every inch of the way in these recent wars, had they been "allowed" to be effective, these Mercenaries would not be...

Why did I immediately think of BO's now signed agreement with the UN joining support of the "World Police", authorized to take action against we citizens if needed...

It won't be our military that rises against us if he were declare an emergency it would be these mercenaries...That all mighty dollar at work again.

Good grief S, I hope if Trump does get elected that signed agreement with the UN is stricken and these Mercenaries contained!!

I suppose in the large scheme of things and war, some are needed...Then again we do have Special Ops too..
Give back to them rather than developing yet another deadly force not bound by the Geneva convention or rules of engagement!!!

I share your concern... especially with the weak minded AA/AA Experimental USA president's view of America's role in the world. He does seem all too ready to simply throw away centuries of hard work and sacrifice by our military. One would think the <ahem> man is just ducking responsibility and duty at every opportunity.

The UN's blue helmeted rapists and shirkers have no place in America... none.

You say it true!!!
Although I view his action against our military as intended to weaken this great Nation, period...

Also his actions of Signing the gun limitations with the UN, which is unenforceable here because of our second amendment and now this most recent signing of the World Police Charter just as dangerous!!

Then when you throw in these mercenaries, well, you see the picture...Many do not or deny it and deny what this man has wrought upon this Nation and it's people !!!!

Lord help us to get through the last days of his destruction!!!!!

Speaking of mercenaries, look over an email I just received from one of my retired military friends:
"Unbeknownst to most civilians, the military started closing down most of its technical schools in mid-80s and started relying on both contractors and civil servants. What a surprise, civilian contractor were more cost effective and more knowledgeable. (I even did 3 years as a world-wide deployable field engineer for Special Operations Command when I worked for Boeing).

There are more contractors at war than uniformed military. They do not fall under the Geneva Convention either. They tried like hell to put some kind of collar brass on a camouflaged uniform and cut orders for the rank and lieutenant colonel. No Geneva Convention, no weary uniform. If you are wearing a uniform, but not in the military, and not covered under the the Geneva Convention you are unceremoniously shot.

Contractors are not considered boots on the ground..............what a shell game, eh?"
