American Truckers Just Got BAD News From Obama… This Is a Total Disgrace--20gh.,b12-1
But those truckers just had a major roadblock placed in their way, courtesy of President Barack Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency, and the consequences for not only the trucking industry, but America as a whole, could be devastating.
According to The Daily Caller, the EPA just announced on Tuesday that it had yet again made changes to the fuel emissions standards that govern big rig semi-trucks, large work trucks, vans and buses, all in the name of fighting the ever-elusive “climate change.”
Of course, many in the trucking industry will find it incredibly difficult and costly to meet these strict new standards that take effect in 2018, especially when they are already struggling to meet the heightened standards just put in place a few years ago.
This is particularly true for small businesses and independent truckers, so the administration has given them an “out” that reeks of Chicago-style extortion.
Yes, the EPA has instituted a special fine that can be paid by those who fail to comply with the new standards, allowing them to continue their business operations, for a price. There is no word on exactly how this fine will magically make their vehicles no longer pollute or be considered harmful to the environment.
Sadly, it actually took pressure from Congress for the EPA to even offer the extortionary non-compliance fine, as they were apparently content to simply put out of business those companies and independent truckers unwilling or unable to upgrade their vehicles to meet the increasingly high bar set by the agency.
This should not be viewed simply as an attack on truckers and the trucking industry, therefore, but on America and American consumers as a whole.
But it is what we have come to expect from the Obama administration by now, and what we know we will get in Obama’s third term under a potential Hillary Clinton administration.

I understand that this current secular/radical liberal progressive "Marx/Alinsky" administration has put some 27,000 new regulations out to try to stop American business, bigp; big and small. Talk about "fundamental transformation!!!" Well it's now time to talk about "civil disobedience," and the power of our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Our Founding Fathers saw Nero and Hannibal and Attila the Hun and King George III while "creating" our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution {our "Federalist Papers"} and our Bill of Rights; and our Founders knew sooner or later "Barry," AKA Barack Hussein Obama, would try to fundamentally transform" our government "OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE," and made it impossible. Sure, one of the more important stipulations and criteria of our Constitution, {especially for the POTUS position} was neglected, but "WE" are in every phase of every system that makes our America work, and, unlike the past ruthless dictators and Theocrats, those who have been "summarily" discharged from our American government, military and NGO's, are patriotic Constitutionalist Americans, still alive and kicking, and "WE" are saturating the ranks of those who are still there. As long as the Mexican trucks pass the same environmental criteria - fine. I suppose VW's scam escaped your notice? You know, whereas every other car manufacturer managed to comply with environmental standards and make money, VW decided to cheat - and make more money. Then again, in our "corporations are your friends" country, they really didn't do anything wrong. Your great grand kids will have to breathe a lifetime of carcinogens - you won't.

every thing we buy comes to us by truck, raising the cost of trucking will increase the costs of all goods to both manufactures and consumers.in the 70's, going to a 55 mph speed limit to save fuel cost the trucking industry billions of dollars to retro-fit trucks and ended up using more fuel! this is just another attempt to extort an American industry, and has nothing to do with climate change.
