How, then, do tens of millions of American Christians justify being AWOL on Election Day?

Their most common rationales:

1) their particular church denomination tells them they are “citizens of Heaven” or “not part of this world” and therefore don’t need to vote;

2) they’re so upset by government corruption they feel contaminated just reading and hearing about it;

3) they believe God will determine who leads America without their help;

4) they believe church and state should be “separate”;

5) they believe their focus should be the gospel, not politics; and finally, underlying all these reasons,

6) they’ve given up hope of any good ever coming out of Washington, regardless of who is elected.


To answer to these common rationales of the Christians:

1) While we are still living ‘we are still citizens of this Planet’. God put all of us here on earth for a purpose and God provide us with intelligence and knowledge so we use it wisely to serve God and life around us. Otherwise we will be useless and against God’s will. If we wanted to be ‘citizens of haven’ we have to wait until God remove us from earth.

2) Why let the government corruption turn our anger into weakness and coward but instead we should find the way to stop their corrupted power. Don’t we have the Constitution on our side? Which is the ultimate weapon for us to fight the corruption.

3) God give us intelligence and knowledge for us to use wisely by making the right decision for our own sake and the sake of others. Don’t forget our children and grandchildren depend on us to make the right decision for their future. We tell our kids not to use drugs because we know that drugs are bad for them. We didn’t let God determine their future for us; we take action to prevent them from using drugs. Why won’t we take action to prevent the corrupted government from destroy our country and the future of our kids and grandkids.

4) Church and state should not be separated as one can be completed without the other; it goes hand in hand. Our congresses used to start the session with a prayer. We used to have 10 commandments displayed in court. The Establishments on both sides want of separate church and state so it makes it easy for them to control us.

5) All Christians should conduct ourselves and live our life morally with honesty and integrity but we should not just focus on the gospel as we are not priests or Pope. BTW, Pope Francis is very much involved in politics like it or not. Sum it up we all have to be involved in politics more or less because our future and the grandkids future are depended on it.

6) We the People are the one who can create our own hope not the government. The government never makes money but only takes from hard working citizens and wastes it away. Therefore the government doesn’t have the ability to give people hope; the best the government can do is to facilitate people need. We have to take control of our own destiny, the government won’t do it for us because it can’t; it knows only to take and spend.
