For those of you who don't know, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, the Bolsheviks, and consequently The Left, are against (more-or-less) free markets, because they are competitive. And they believe that when events are competitive, some end up with more than others. And that is true. However, what they fail to understand, because they don't want to believe it, is that competition raises the living standards of all. I'd like people to think about why that is; (remember, it has a stronger and longer lasting effect if you THINK you came up with it all by yourself.) And the mechanism is not hard to understand.

That belief, that competition should be forbidden, is why Socialism/Communism is inherently unfair. It is human nature for men to be competitive. When children first find out they are not the only ones their mothers love, they become competitive. If not, they become whiney, sulky, demanding and incompetent.

But The Left, beginning, I believe, with Hegel, thinks that human nature can be anything one wants it to be. This belief is so wrong that it is evil.

So think about it.

I am thinking and I know Socialism won't work for the majority of Americans. Note that I said "Americans", for others who will be voting, that suits just fine.

Competition is the natural road to fitness. But there ARE losers. Religion brought them help and stifled advancement of our species.

So true...every word. The people here who are dependant on the government are the small child, whiney, sulky, demanding, incompetent and dangerous.

It seems government wants the American people (electorate) dependent on them. Those in power can thus retain power, and control the country. AND, most importantly, it will be easy to install a form of Socialism/Communism on the unknowing people. In true Bolshevik fashion.

Remember what Camus said: "The welfare of humanity is always the alibi of tyrants".

Sounds like Clinton.

I liked her demand for the lowering of the price of the epi-pen. Total BS.

Its an epinephrine injector for people who have severe anaphylactic reactions to certain allergens. Kids who have peanut allergy are commonly prescribed one to have with them at all times.

The CEO of the company, Mylan I believe, has, over the years used her democratic senator dad's influence to get legislation requiring school districts to have those on hand all the time. With that in mind, she has gradually, although not so gradually, jacked up the price from about $50 to nearly $800. It costs $4 to make one.

The injector is unique and patented. Others have tried to emulate it but without much success. Interestingly, the competition who she has hammered down with superior marketing strategy, haven't complained about her huge increase in price. I feel certain they have an unspoken agreement to hold firm on rising prices of medicals.

Kind of like pop corn and soft drinks in a theater. You never see anyone saying their pop corn and soft drinks are cheaper than say, AMC's.

The lives of how many children would the epi-pen have saved in the past? I have only heard of one death due to an anaphylactic reaction to peanut allergan, and that was at Children's Hospital in Denver, where they were experimenting with the allergan itself.

Rarely death in a hospital setting, but of course they get the epinephrine there and other anaphylactics. It's the ones who can't get to the medical facility who are truly at risk and one cannot count of being able to get there. Still, it need not be used as a weapon for enrichment.

In hospital? Less than half a percentage point of the total who get there. Outside the hospital setting. Don't know.

Anaphylaxis is easily treated. But lack of treatment can be deadly.

The greater labor elasticity there is the less wages will grow. Any time there is a surplus of labor wages wont increase because there is nothing to force wages up. When the only competition is between those who are seeking jobs wages are more likely to go down than up. Only when there are labor shortages will wages go up and if you believe in the rights propaganda there is such a surplus pool of labor now (some 94 million people) there will never be a reason for business to raise wages again...
