Liberal logic.

Liberals claim that the rich don't pay enough in taxes. One percent of Americans pay almost half of all taxes. That means that in real dollars, they pay about 50 times more than 99 percent of Americans. Don't you think they are paying enough? Also, 45 percent of Americans do not pay any taxes. Anyone with half a brain should realize that cutting spending, and lowering taxes, is a winning strategy for everyone. Well. Everyone but the government, that is.

It's simple for a change. Take the personalities out of the race. You know childish Trump tantrums and serial liar Hillary statements and look at the two economic plans. One offers pro-growth the other European like socialism. What do you prefer?

According to the Fiscal Policy Institute, the top 1% also make 44% of the income in New York City in 2009. Since income for the top 1% has risen faster than the average since then, I think it is likely that the percentage would be higher now. So how is paying the same percentage of income tax as their income unfair? I think they can, and should, pay a higher percentage than those of us in the middle class.

Why should they pay a higher percentage? That's their money. They earned it. They could pay the same percentage as anyone else, making less money, and still pay a lot more. What's needed is a graduated flat tax. Figure out how much it would take to run the government, then set a fair rate, based on income. After all, 15 percent is a lot harder for someone on minimum wage, than for someone making 50,000 a year. In fact, if there was any fiscal responsibility in Washington, we could get by on a ten percent tax rate. Even God didn't ask for more than that.

If life was fair, birds wouldn't eat worms. There is no such thing as liberal logic.

45% of population pay NO INCOME TAX. You think that is harder than someone who makes 50,000/year?? Everyone should pay something to live here. Personally I think if you pay no tax you shouldn't get to vote. That's like castrating yourself because your neighbor has too many kids!! You want to have a voice in how it is run, then put something into the cost of doing what you vote for.

The lib's don't understand that when taxes are lowered then more people will have more money to grow their business and start businesses. This results in more jobs. Also the more money people have to spend on stuff the more stuff is being made and serviced so this means more jobs. If we can get more Americans employed then those Americans will be paying taxes. So the tax base is increased.

But on the other hand if we continue to tax the rich more people will unemployed and on the public dole. This more government control of the people. They won't vote against the hand that feeds them. So this results in more power and bigger government!
