Immigration Revisited

Sooner or later, Immigration "Reform" will be with us again. Don't be fooled, it is only hiding behind the Obamacare debacle. This is nothing more than a cynical attempt to increase the Democratic Voter base by increasing the number of people who are entitlement recipients. Depending on the country of origin, Latino households have the highest (between 60 and 70 percent) ratio of entitlement receipt, the highest birthrate, and are usually Democratic voters, with the exception of the Cuban community, which, it should be noted, is the only Latino group that votes mostly Republican. (Curiously, or maybe not, Cubans also have the lowest rate of SNAP and Welfare recipients, also).
I published a similar post some time back, and I would like to repost it's more salient points:
The late author Robert Heinlein, in one of his non-fiction books,"Expanded Universe," pointed out some similarities between the US and the Roman Empire. The original Roman Republic was a fairly homogenous group, with strong "family values," mostly the same ethnic and religious groups. As the Republic was replaced with the Empire, and became a polyglot of multi-cultural satrapies, the demographic began changing. Citizenship requirements were relaxed, and hordes of foreigners, who had no desire or intention of ever becoming Roman, or even learning Latin, but simply wished to benefit from governmental largesse, began flooding into the Empire. Unscrupulous politicians began the practice of "free bread and circuses" in exchange for the votes of these foreigners, and the native born, seeing the handouts being given to foreigners, demanded the same. Roman Government was ceded to the huge army of bureaucrats necessary to administer the world's first Welfare State. Corrupt leaders, elected and supported by a "multi-cultural" constituency with an eye out for the main chance, began replacing the ethnic Romans who had built what the leeches were cashing in on. Roman armies consisted of huge levies of foreigners who could barely speak Latin. "Roman Justice" became a subject for derision, rather than admiration; the Roman road system, once practically a wonder of the ancient world, deteriorated. Roman architecture fell into disrepair, as more and more money was diverted into "bread and circuses" to purchase votes, and governmental power. A once fairly honest government was now the most corrupt in history, mired in bureaucracy and controlled by apparatchiks. The demographic had changed forever. Then, in the year of our Lord 476 A.D., a gentleman named Odoacer came to call. The rest, as they say, is history.

The ancient Egyptians, once they did a head count and realized they were seriously out numbered, enslaved the children of Israel. Are you suggesting that this will happen to Hispanics?

It was implied with the " entitlements " statement.

I wasn't aware that the Hebrew residents of Old Kingdom Egypt received entitlements. I don't think they were allowed to vote, either.
