I think I can explain that to you, Steve. At least, maybe explain the "Why?" of it. That is because we live in an evil world. There is going to be no lasting peace until Christ returns. If you look at what has transpired over the past several years -go back as many as you want- you will find that if you list the outlandish things that have occurred, you will be astonished at the number of events that just make you scratch your head or maybe even puke. And then try to understand how there can be people who are educated and supposedly moral who are fighting for these evil things to continue and cheering for them. The existence of an active Satan is the only explanation. How else does the preponderance of evil things make any sense. I think we have to read the Bible and see how the events predicted fit into our modern world. The future is bright for those who are in Christ but they are going to have to go through some pretty trying times before we see everlasting peace.
