‘The Christian response to the Orlando murders’
Jun 17, 2016 23:48:30   #
Nuclearian Loc: I live in a Fascist, Liberal State

Sodomites, lesbians, bisexuals and the hopelessly delusional, a.k.a., “transgendered,” drinking and partying at 2 a.m. aren’t exactly the most sympathetic of victims. And yet death worked its usual magic: Orlando’s sinners instantly became saints as Americans mourn strangers they never met — and probably wouldn’t like much if they did.

Leading the nationwide lament was Barack Obama. Odd, isn’t it, how politicians monopolize microphones following any trauma bloody enough to grab headlines. When truly grieving people most need spiritual consolation, these demagogues shamelessly capitalize on the murder or mayhem to their own advantage. Yet they’ve never studied theology or even philosophy. And while they’re adept at lying, stealing our money and bombing folks, none of that qualifies them to counsel the sorrowing. Nevertheless, after natural or man-made disasters, the mainstream media genuflects before these charlatans as though they’re priests and prophets.

Ergo, Omar Mateen allegedly fired the first bullets at Pulse nightclub a mere twelve hours before Obama intoned, “…[T]his is a sobering reminder that attacks on any American — regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation — is an attack on all of us…”

Really? Even when homosexuals sue Christians who refuse to bake cakes for their “weddings?” I must have missed the outpouring of “solidarity” from the White House then.

“…and on the fundamental values of equality and dignity that define us as a country.”

Ah, yes, “dignity.” I’m not sure how “dignified” “coordinating the first-ever gay cruise to” Cuba is, let alone being “still on probation.” And a 25-year-old man’s “dressing up and dancing to moves he choreographed in front of crowds while belting out renditions of Beyoncé or Jennifer Lopez” may be many things, but “dignified” it ain’t. Indeed, dignity is exceptionally rare nowadays, particularly among men holding hands as they mince into a bar.

Yet most Americans supinely follow their rulers’ lead. Without thought or principles, the tacky millions cry crocodile tears when elected bozos tell them to.

Towering over these midgets of conformity is a colossus named Roger Jimenez. Pastor Roger Jimenez, to be precise, of the Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento, California.

Pastor Jimenez delivered a hard-hitting sermon last Sunday, around the time Barack Obama preached his. Relying on the Word of God, proving everything he said with Scripture, Pastor Jimenez delineated “The Christian Response to the Orlando Murders.”

His analysis of the situation and his presentation of God’s wrath regarding sexual perversion would surprise no honest reader of Holy Writ. From Genesis through Revelation, the Bible vehemently condemns sodomy and such confusing of the sexes as “transgenderism.” Pastor Jimenez cited many passages, among them Genesis 19 (the destruction of eponymous Sodom and Gomorrah); verses in the Mosaic Law; Judges 19:22-30 (relating how sodomites surround the home of a man who’s offered shelter to a stranger, demanding to “know” him. When the host refuses to surrender his guest, they rape a woman to death instead) and Romans 1:18-32 (“…God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due… God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting…”).

Pastor Jimenez points out that the Bible portrays sexual deviants as not only in rebellion against God, but as predators who exploit those around them. You needn’t be a Christian to appreciate that he is correct: anyone who can read a text will see the same picture.

And everyone is free to disagree. Pastor Jimenez has no power of any kind against dissidents. He cannot fine them; he cannot sue. The worst he can do is eject them from his congregation — though they’re unlikely to have joined in the first place. Why, then, does anyone, even a sodomite, care about his remarks?

Ah, but they do. Progressives crave control over our beliefs and thoughts far more than they crave “equality.” Predictably, then, politicians who usurp the Church’s role in comforting the bereaved also appoint themselves interpreters of the Bible. And they censor — or worse — theologians who dissent. “Sacramento’s mayor weighed in on Twitter:

The hateful comments made by a preacher in Sacramento do not reflect Christian values and have no place in our society. #standwithorlando

— Kevin Johnson (@KJ_MayorJohnson) June 14, 2016

Johnson pontificates so authoritatively that I was curious about his credentials as a Biblical scholar. I wasn’t expecting him to have studied the Good Book for years, as Pastor Jimenez has, but a passing familiarity would be nice.

Alas, I was disappointed. “In his prior career, Kevin played professional basketball in the National Basketball Association.” And the B.A. he “earn[ed] … from the University of California at Berkeley,” was in Political Science, not Theology or even Hebrew or Greek.

No wonder Hizzoner is factually incorrect regarding Pastor Jimenez’s “hateful comments.” The basis for “Christian values,” the Bible, does indeed “reflect” and substantiate them.

Far more dangerous, however, is this ignorant politician’s attempts to dictate which beliefs “have a place in our society” and which don’t. Nor is he the only such tyrant: increasingly, the leeches who live off our taxes decree which of us are worthy to endure their rule. New York State’s repellent despot, Andrew Cuomo, declared two years ago, “…[T]hese extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay … have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” I daresay New York State nonetheless extorted as much money from such personae non grata as from its other serfs.

Pastor Jimenez stands firm despite the “backlash” from the homosexual lobby and its lapdogs in the mainstream media. As he mentioned in his sermon, that lobby numbers at most 2 percent of Americans, yet it’s buffaloed the remainder into condoning its filth.

Time for the 98 percent to defend this valiant pastor, common decency and freedom.
