Nice article, but Trump is not the only non-establishment candidate in the race. There is also Gary Johnson, who is a candidate who actually thinks before he speaks. In addition, Gary actually has the knowledge and experience to do the job and is running on the Libertarian Party ballot, not as an independent, but with the support of a well established political party, which will be on the ballot in all jurisdictions and CAN WIN.

sboy-Gary and his supporters are nothing more than spoilers who will hand the democrats a victory. All of this engineered by Mitt Turncoat Romney who is one of the weakest candidates the GOP ever offered. He should be hiding in shame after having been trounced by an unknown young black man without a resume. Mitt is a back stabber and is doing to Trump what his father did to Goldwater. Anyone supporting anything in which Mitt is involved is either uninformed or stupid. Good Luck America !!!

You're right! It's not too late! Trump is only the PRESUMPTIVE nominee. Many conservatives are seeing ways around having him be the actual nominee. He would be an unmitigated disaster! After all far more people voted against him than for him.
For example, the Republican Party rules, a private party, doesn't require that the delegates vote for whom their state voted for. There are exceptions. I'm hoping Trump implodes before the convention.
That's the breath of life I'm hoping for.

If the republicans try to take this from Trump there will be a civil war within the Republican Party. The best that the GOP can do is concentrate on not loosing the house and Senate. It will take a total implode by Hillary to loose this election. It's unfortunate the Republican Party lost a chance to bring us back to the Bush years of deregulation, housing market crash, Wall Street crash, 10% unemployment, wealthy tax breaks, wars, what a great agenda. You have lost the chance to shit can Medicaid, privatize SS, voucherize Medicare,
Eliminate food stamps, raise PELL grant interest rates back to 12%, eliminate Affordable healthcare, go to war with Iran and North Korea, privatize our public schools, privatize our prisons, eliminate SNAP program, double the defensive budget from $720 billion to $1.4 trillion all unpaid for, eliminate the EPA, FDA, FCC, turn the government over to the corporate elite and the evangelicals of the jim Crowe south, can you imagine you lost out on completely dismantling this government what could you people be thinking.

I get it but Trump is not the one to do anything about it. He just wants to replace one establishment with another one with him as king. Just look at how he treats anyone who does not bow down to him. His campaign is not about America but it is all about him.

There's already civil war in the Republican party. Trump is losing by a mile already.
Here's the latest from New Hampshire. This is TODAY'S news!

"The truth about the Trump general election campaign is emerging, and it’s not a pretty picture. This isn’t just idle trolling or the donor class sniffing at a dilettante candidate, or to quote Newt Gingrich, a “gifted amateur.”

In New Hampshire, the first state that evidenced Trump’s appeal with disaffected voters, where he crushed all the other candidates, beginning a six-week march to complete dominance, the Trump campaign is all but closed for business.

The Boston Globe reported Thursday:

In the middle of a workday this week, Trump’s state headquarters was locked, windows covered in paper, and displayed a note for visitors to call a phone number for access. By the door, there were about a half-dozen large blank posters, with this message clothes-pinned to the boards: “For the Donald Trump campaign. He’s embarrassing, but he’s ours.”

Meanwhile, just a few miles away, Hillary Clinton’s New Hampshire office has five full-time staffers, including a state director, a deputy state director, a communications director, a digital director, and a political director. And they’ve all worked in New Hampshire politics for years.

This isn’t just sad, it’s shockingly bad news. Given that Trump’s national leaders including Corey Lewandowski and national political director Jim Murphy are closely tied to the Granite State. One of the reasons Lewandowski was reportedly chosen was his supposed ability to deliver New Hampshire.

Instead, Trump is spending his time and effort chasing unicorns like New York and California. This puts the RNC in a compromised and paralyzed position.

A related and intertwined problem is Trump’s lack of fundraising. Although he once said he’d raise $1 billion, his new fundraising team—mostly constituted by the RNC, of course—is working to depress expectations, saying there’s little chance he’ll raise that much. In fact, many members told The Wall Street Journal they haven’t even done any work yet. There’s a vicious cycle at work here, which is that as donors see the Trump campaign in chaos, they’re unwilling to fork over their hard-earned cash. Why back a candidate who’s rending the Republican Party apart, doesn’t follow conservative orthodoxy, and seems to have no idea what he’s doing with the money?

Again, we have the laws of politics versus the Trump magic media machine. Trump thinks his unique brand of persuasion, bullying, manipulation, and media control will win him the White House. But the playing field has definitely changed, with the media pivoting to support Hillary versus standing back to watch the Republican primary field self-immolate.

Every dollar Trump raises for himself is potentially a dollar robbed for down ballot races desperately in need of cash to defend against a strong Democratic push using Trump as their primary target. Even should Trump’s personal strategy find success, the cost will be the rest of the party.

But the parsimonious billionaire is determined to run not only his campaign on empty, but the whole party. We will see if this strategy becomes unacceptable enough to those who will ultimately determine who crowns the presumptive nominee, or if they will offer that crown to another."

So, OPP folks, now that I've shared with you today's report from New Hampshire, a state where he won overwhelmingly, what are his chances in states where he had to struggle to win votes? Not very good! Miserable in fact! You Trumpbots need to wake up and realize you've got yourself a pig in a poke.
Nobody wants to donate money to him because those are dollars than can help true conservatives down the ballot.
But it's still not too late to get a true conservative Republican nominee. Staying with Trump has disaster written all over it.

Nor should they want Trump, if they really knew him. Attempting to insult people into voting for Trump will not work although that is Trump's main strategy.

I have been a card carrying, paid up member of the Libertarian party since 1979, so I feel qualified to speak. As much as I love the libertarian principles. I am realist enough to know that a vote for a Libertarian is a vote for Hillary Clinton.

Gary is the ONLY reasonable choice for President.

Yeah, and the Democrats tell their people that a none vote is a vote foe Trump. Both sides use the same tactics to try and manipulate people into voting for their candidate. I will vote against both by either a non vote or a vote for a third party candidate. I will not vote for someone who is not fit to be President just because someone tries to say they are less unfit than someone else. Once one reaches the unfit level it does not matter to what degree they are unfit.

Then quit the Party. This is the year of the Libertarian. Gary is the best candidate of all the current candidates, what with Hillary being charged with felony misuse of her office and Donald being guilty of serious mouth run-off. Donald and Hillary are NOT fit to be President.

Exactly! After all, didn't he have some sort of reality show where he hired or fired people? Would he have hired people based on that same criteria? Insults, smears, and name calling of his opponents?
What voter in his/her right mind would squander their vote on a candidate because he was better at insulting his competition? Not me.
Candidate Trump is essentially interviewing me, the voter, for the job. I want to know.from him, why I should give him the job. I've already got lots of reasons that I don't want to give him my vote for the job. And the more I learn daily, the more I DON'T want to give him my vote.

It is amazing that people will vote for a man who has no respect for them and treats them like he thinks they are blind sheep. He stated a few months ago that he could shoot someone and they would still vote for them and a couple of days ago he said they do not care about his policies. All he has to do is play on their emotions of hatred for the "establishment", never mind the fact he wants to enact his own establishment.

Trump is only the PRESUMPTIVE nominee. The Republican party, a private organization, not a governmental organization, has rules in various states, which give the delegates an opportunity to vote for someone OTHER than the delegates who won the most votes in their states. I don't want Hillary but I don't want Trump either. And neither does the Republican Party. We want a constitutional conservative. Sooo.... It ain't over yet. And Trump hasn't received the nomination.

I enjoyed reading your post but what confuses me is you just kept jabbing at the left and Obama. You did in all fairness throw a few on the right, but let's look at this post as being an attempt to make Trump this guy that will be the answer to our non establishment agenda. What has he said that gives you any indication that he is the person to take this country forward. Oh by the way Donald Trump is an avid golfer. I read your list and it did shake my memory of how many times the right wing has either blocked , obstructed, or filibustered any kind of a fix. The right wing conspiracy of lies all came to the surface.

Our system of government is built on lies, misinformation, and conspiracy theories, and if you think Trump is the answer to fixing that problem than your really out of touch.
