It is getting harder in America to home school, and if you do it requires the same propaganda that is in the public schools, which is why so many home school in the first place. Just because this did not happen here does not mean it is not in the future plans of the left.

Talk about "HOME SCOOLING!!!" It seems about two years ago a German family had come here legally to obtain citizenship, but chose to home school their children. The American court system ruled against them and they were sent back to Germany. Yes, it's here already. It was on a Fox News before they became liberalized. Wouldn't hear about it there or anywhere now.

My attitude is that if a parent cares enough about his own children to want to home school the child, it is NONE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S BUSINESS. It is also my attitude that any parent loving his own child cares more about the life and welfare of his child than does any government. Additionally I feel any parent capable of educating his child is FAR MORE INTELLIGENT than any government employee.

That said, I think there may be a way around this mess of a government when it comes to home schooling. I've never home schooled so I am somewhat naive about all the regs, BUT I assume there are specific things a child must be taught that is more PC than education. Fine. Teach the kids that swill, but also teach them that those things are WRONG AND SHOULD NOT BE FOLLOWED IN SPIRIT. I have no doubt government can mandate teachers teach immorality, hence could also mandate parents do the same.....but is there any law that states you must NOT TEACH CHILDREN THE RIGHT WAY AS WELL? IOW, teach the child how America works, how tyrannical governments work, teach the child about the grand and wonderful America was before government outgrew its britches, teach the child what a good government is and what a lousy government is. If nothing else, teach a child to utilize logic and to THINK FOR HIMSELF! If the nation lasts long enough and if enough parents taught their children in that manner, I think America COULD be saved. Unfortunately, I do not believe there are enough home schooler parents to turn this insanity around. If one cannot school their children, what about gather a group of like-minded friends, hire a teacher of like mind, and have neighborhood home schooling? I am 100% in favor of saving children from the school gulag.

Some people are already doing that in groups. Former teachers do what they do best for
the children. For instance, one does math, one does English, etc. And the children have an opportunity to interact. Can work!

Yes, they've been doing it for some time, but amazingly MOST areas don't show any signs of doing this. Me? I'm 77 years old, but if I were young and had school age children, I'd move Heaven and earth before I'd send MY children to the government gulag we laughingly call "SCHOOL" that produces what we laughingly call "education".

I'm with you all the way. Why do we use tax money to support schools where our kids don't get an education? And now the Obamas(both of them) are using those tax dollars as blackmail if the schools don't do as they're told about toilets and lunches where the kids go hungry on what Michele dictates, etc.etc etc. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

I'm seriously frightened that we're on the same track about that. I wonder why the German men, Belgians, Swedes, etc. don't stand up for what is right and get rid of those Muslims and then I look around me and see the same thing, but at least we know some of us have a plan.

You are correct. It was introduced as secular humanism, a kinder, gentler way to treat each other and the fools looked no further than the surface promotion. Communism creeps in that way and no one pays attention until it is too late and their is no way to get their rights back because without freedom of property rights and association and the right to bear arms to enforce those freedoms you are at the mercy of the "kind dictator" who puts you in chains that are pretty but still chains. A rainbow chain is still a chain, and a force of thought control cloaked in kindness and fair play.
