I'm not mad at people getting richer. I think it's wonderful. I'm just mad that the rich that don't pay their fair share.

Do you know the difference between profit and profit margin? Corporation work off profit margin in other words they make x% for their goods or services as profit after cost. Tax is part of that cost equation so as tax declines the profit margin will stay the same so the price of the item will decline the same percent as the tax. Meanwhile since the price declines then more widgets are sold which creates more need for people to make, sale, repair, or service that widget. The corporation makes more, there is more jobs created, the stockholders make more and you benefit by the lower price. Just how much do you think the rich should pay in taxes when currently they pay 80% of the taxes collected while the poor benefit with a lower tax rate and programs like earned income credit, child care credit, and if income is under a certain amount the poor pay no tax. Your way of thinking doesn't make any logical sense. I am far from rich in fact if I had a bunch of bills to pay I would be extremely poor one of the best thing that could happen for me is to eliminate corporate tax because it would lower prices.

Hey 426 I have tried to explain to this idiot simple economic theory about corporate tax and inflation cause and effect on the economy and pricing. I have explained it as well as I can but he, she, or it whichever, either wont or can not rebut. Intelligent argument with this twit is futile it appears.

You are an ignoramus.

Quote:
Third, the corporate income tax serves as a backstop to the individual income tax because it precludes using the corporation as a tax shelter for high-income taxpayers. Gravelle and Hungerford (2008, 422) note that if there were no corporate tax, “high-income individuals could channel funds into corporations and, with a large part of earnings retained, obtain lower tax rates than if they operated in partnership or proprietorship form.”

Corporate tax rate has nothing to do with inflation. Consider that the 50’s and 60’s had higher tax rates and corporations did very well and inflation was moderate.

Consider today, inflation is hovering around 1%

Inflation is a function of supply and demand.

So why do corporations need their taxes reduced? They need them higher to help pay for the roads and bridges they use just like everybody else.

You are a simpleton.

We had our own businesses for over 40 years. Parents had their business for that and more.

Where has anything been answered? You never answer anything? I'm asking you and your playmates questions.
What has the Republican Party done for the middle and lower class people in the last 20 to 30 years?
I'm interested to know what your answers will be. I can't think of anything.

You won't be getting an answer on that one, because the answer is "nothing." But this goes both ways- The other wing of the Corporatist Party (aka Democrats) have also been screwing the working-classes for quite some time. Everyone seems to instinctively realize this, but are still arguing tit-for-tat "go team go" partisan b.s...

If corporations want to be citizens, then they need to shoulder the same responsibilities as actual citizens. But most want it both ways- the benefits of citizenship, but not the responsibilities. They've gotten away with this blatant contradiction long enough. This should not be acceptable to anyone, as it's helped create extreme disparities. If you want to eliminate corporate taxes, then you must also revoke their current "citizenship" status.

Which proves how they have become too powerful for anyone's good, that they play States and municipalities against another, in order to get as much favortism as possible, essentially using "jobs" as an auctioning or gambling token. When they don't get everything they want they threaten re-location, which wreaks havoc on working-people's lives. This is blackmail, more or less. Its unacceptable.
There's no question that the tax-codes are a mess and need to be streamlined, but there's also no question that the laws favor corporations enough already. Check out the current corporate-charter laws, they're sickening. Why on Earth do multi-million or billion-dollar companies need this kind of welfare? I don't think it's necessary.

Corporations are not Citizens they are a entity in their own right but they are owned by people. If you raise tax on the Corporation prices will increase to cover the cost of those taxes. Where the tax can be raised is on the dividends paid to the shareholders. Currently tax on dividends are 5.5% or less this is income for the shareholders and should be taxed as such. Further any dividends paid to foreign investors needs to be taxed at the income rate applicable to the amount of such dividends paid. This would stifle Wall Street for a time but it would return and investment continue in a short while.

As far as the Tax Code it doesn't need to be streamlined it needs to be replaced it is an antiquated system that no longer works as intended. This mess will never be fixed until the tax code is replaced and myself I support the Fair Tax that was put together by Rep. Linder of Georgia.

I don't think you're aware that corporations currently enjoy "citizenship" status, all that it entails and then-some. So while you and I may realize how absurd this is, the corporations and the government think it's just dandy.
As far as the tax-code...."streamlined", "replaced"....why split hairs? The whole system is antiquated, not just the tax-code, but the entire banking and monetary-systems.

Trickle down economics is all that the Republicans seem to come up with.

They just keep saying to give the rich more money, it might trickle down.
It hasn't worked.

The Republicans also want to stop environment protection. They would risk people's health and welfare at the same time not allowing many people to have affordable health care.

Just how much of a Socialist are you? What is your ideal? I mean somewhere on Mother Earth they must do it the way you think it should be done. Now to a Capitalist-Pig-Dog such as myself Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela are what your beliefs lead to. The only place in the known World where Socialism works half way sometimes is in Scandinavia. I doubt that Scandinavian Socialism will work in the United States of America.

As far as cooperation with Republicans, the Wicked Witch of the West Ms. Nancy Pelosi said it best, " We Won ". Left unsaid was " go screw yourselves ". In 2009 your guys and girls and transgenders had more power than anyone in America has had in ages. The Presidency, plus ginormous majorities in both Houses of Congress. They royally screwed Republicans because they could. Your hero Barry didn't even have the political skills of a Clinton to throw a bone or two to the GOP, so that as they clawed back power first in the House and then in the Senate, he could work with them.

You should take notice that what ever little progress the Obama economy made it was made as the Republicans gained Congressional power and restrained your brain dead idiot Barry.

If you dupe them, con them, fool them, promise them a pocket full of rainbows and brag about it, well then I don't think you love them at all. I think you're just using them to get votes.

Did you take text and pictures of Obama and paste in Trump's face? Because you are definitely talking about the low information voter who put Obama in twice?

I think Stephen King needs to realize that Donald Trump is exposing the corruptness of our political establishment. It's not just one party. Both parties are being exposed for the criminals they are. If people can't see this they need to pull their heads out of their asses and look at what's happening in this country today. If they can't see that the ideology of pur society is what's at stake here along with our freedom.

How could anybody vote for this LIAR/FELON piece of shit Hillary, I will never understand. Has a strong marxist background. i thought we fought against the marxist/communist ideologue. Now we are trying to put one in the WH.
