While I agree it wasn't a "war" song, it sure played a lot on Armed Forces Radio when I was there. As for the other, don't remember it playing when I was "in country". Just curious, were you there? Have you ever served in any branch?

Obviously I wasn't there, but one of the greatest loves of my life was there for 6 years- 2 tours (gunner on a Huey) and the rest as a civilian contractor working on helicopters. The second song touched a part of my heart I haven't felt in a long time and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for that and thank you for your service!

Pleased you enjoyed it. 😊 If the love of your life was there, so were you...thank you for supporting him.👍
Thank you Sargent Major, for the blast from the past.
Listened to AFVN as much as possible. My last tour of duty was 71-72. Deros'd late Aug 72. That radio meant a lot. The music they played was very much appreciated and exactly mirrored music stateside at this time.
Tried to never miss Paul Harvey when access was available. "Good Day"
Thanks again for the link. It's a keeper
