Obama shattered too many stereotypes.....he's like how i have always worked to be....the kind of brother who could wear his pants hanging off his ass, but be a young Ph.D. student with a 3.8 average. Like Obama, i've never did tatoos, ear rings, hip hop clothes or none of that. My individuality and identity stems from my degree and manner of articulation. That defines my identity.I don't look down on nothing-even brothers with pants hanging off their asses.......not my cup of tea but does not bother me. A true progressive believes in choices as long as they are not imposed on them. Obama was a cool brother, a busy president, atheletic, humorous the whole nine. racists don't like brothers who can be the smartest and coolest guy in the room without embracing the stereotypes that make racists like them have orgasms when they have the opportunity to hate. But to put it in perspective-the right is the only one with hate. 90%+ of Dems approve of Obama-he is who we voted for twice and he came through on all fronts as WE see it. That is all that matters-my guy won and America is better off because of it-in many ways. I just entertain the blather from the right because it is entertaining. Talking smack is the antithesis of teaching an MBA course in another window. So when I do so and take the insults and have a cold one while watching the Spurs at the same time, I feel America has not failed me as a black man-but I had to be really on top of my game for America to not alienate me because I am a black man.
