Once the elections are over there are no more local meetings with the elected officials unless they are drumming up support for some issue or raising money for the next election. Who gets to sit down with or talk with their Senator or Congressman? Anyone with a check in hand. My representatives send me e-mails telling me what they're doing or going to do but send me form letters when I tell them what I'd like them to do.
