Attorney General Lynch: Fines are Racist and Will Lead to DOJ Investigation

So the other shoe has dropped. And the radical leftists running the country are declaring open war on Broken Windows Policing. Which means effectively crippling any ability to enforce the law.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has issued a warning to municipal and state judges across the country that their courts could lose federal funding if they don’t ease up on fines and arrest warrants for minor crimes involving poor offenders, indigent minorities in particular.

In lieu of fines and jail time, Lynch urges the nation’s 6,500 municipal courts to provide an avenue for offenders to perform “community service” or take advantage of “amnesty days,” whereby outstanding arrest warrants are cleared for nominal fees.

Failure to comply with these policies could trigger a Ferguson-style discrimination investigation. Already, Lynch says she’s “evaluating discrimination complaints against several court systems.”

The Michael Brown shooting hoax was just a pretext for that kind of witch hunt. So now Lynch is dispensing with the pretexts and cutting right to the crackdown.

A strongly worded “guidance” letter, written by her civil-rights team, warns that a local court policy of enforcing warrants for failure to pay court fines and fees can have an adverse “disparate impact” on African-Americans, who are fined and/or arrested for outstanding warrants at “disproportionate” rates versus whites.

Of course the same is true for most crimes. So why enforce laws against murder, robbery or rape? There is no reason. So look for those to be "equalized" as well. Or removed in favor of some kind of "reparations" scheme.

“In court systems receiving federal funds, these practices may also violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when they unnecessarily impose disparate harm on the basis of race,” the nine-page letters states.

So Lynch is contending that Title VI is insane and needs to be abolished. Either that or eliminate all enforcement of criminal laws. Well played.

Former federal civil-rights attorney Hans Bader, now with the Competitive Enterprise Institute, describes the latest reforms as a “massive assault on the criminal justice system.”

Of course it is. This is a declaration of war on public safety in America by the most pro-crime administration in American history.

If self funding through fines for petty offences is justice, so be it. If having municipal and county projects completed using prisoners is justice, so be it. If taxing citizens to house petty offenders that cannot pay their fines ok with them, so be it.

If, for some reason, that is NOT justice - then this behavior should have been called out a long time ago. Poor murderers and rapists are not going to be affected by this and only a fool would think so - or suggest it. Way to exaggerate!

from what I have seen the criminal justice system in many states is more interested in raising money for the government than true justice.

I'm still skeptical, I just wanted to see what the OPP conspiracy theorists would comment about it. It doesn't look they're going to bite.

Personally I dislike fines because I worry that the attraction of the money being collected can skew justice. I would propose the following solution:
Implement on a state level should be high enough.
All fines, fees, costs, forfeitures or any money or items of value received incidental to law enforcement shall be paid into a central pot. Once a month the money will be distributed to the legal entities that enforce the law in proportion to their law enforcement budgets. This would ensure that localities are reimbursed for their law enforcement efforts, but would not have an incentive for excessive fines to make money, since any fine would be removing money from their community.

So by her statement, she believes no other race has neglected to pay their fines in the same disproportional manner. Does that mean that whites and other races respect the law more than poor black people that receive fines for wrongdoing. I believe it means that more black people have been caught doing the crimes and have failed to uphold their obligation to pay for their crime. She has no right to tell the courts how to perform their duties when they only going by the laws on the books.

So breaking the law is ok with the DOJ and also not paying your fine if found guilty.I just got a ticket for an expired tag so their recommendation is not paying my fine and then my license will be suspended until I pay. That's insanity. That's how you know the DOJ won't prosecute Hillary Clinton.
