Why Merrick Garland is unacceptable for supreme court

The Harvard Crimson website posted an article about Merrick Garland. The comment section had this comment exchange which discusses the same problem I have had with Garland from the day his selection was announced by Obama.

"Garland is an unacceptable candidate, but not for any reason that will be discussed in the mainstream media. He not only was the Justice Department's lead investigator in the Oklahoma City bombing, but according to the LA Times he requested the job:

"Within hours of the bombing, Garland, then one of the senior officials
in the Clinton administration Justice Department, was insisting to his
bosses that he quickly fly to Oklahoma to lead the investigation into
what until then was the worst terror attack on U.S. soil — 168 people,
including 19 children, died in the blast."

Why is that a problem? Look up videos of the news reports from that day in Oklahoma. I never thought to question any aspect of that event until I happened upon them. Numerous outlets very clearly report that law enforcement authorities confirmed recovering unexploded devices from the Murrah building, stressing what a stroke of luck that was for the investigation, since those devices were sophisticated and would likely be traceable to the perpetrators. These reports were never repeated or, apparently, followed up on. The investigation instead focused on a single home-made fertilizer bomb in a Ryder truck parked across the street from the building (which may well have been there) placed by Timothy McVey. The level of damage to the building is, however, more consistent with additional internally planted devices, supporting the early reports. For whatever reason, Garland seems to have been instrumental in covering up what really happened there"
