E-Verify should be required by law (as it is here in AZ) in every state and should be done PRE-employment, not POST-employment (right now you have to hire the person FIRST, then use the E-Verify system on them). Employers should also be able to run E-Verify on their existing employees. If companies can do pre-employment drug tests and random drug testing on their current employees, there's no reason E-Verify should be different (unless the government really DOESN'T want to stop illegal immigration).
