Hmmmmm...ya know, it seems that someone is forever saying that unless something is done, Social Security and Medicare will be broke in very few years. Just wondering...why do the politians never talk about when welfare and other entitlement programs might run out of money??

Social Security is not an 'entitlement' program! We pay in to it, with the promise from government that we will get it back! No interest, no growth, just what they decide to give you back from what you put in to your own, personal 'retirement' program. What a frigging GREAT deal!!

Hell! I'm rich! I've worked my ass off to be debt free, and have a decent job. I guess I owe some no getting my hands dirty, not getting up in the morning lazy ass something!! :hunf:

Hell, what's really rich? I worked from 14, saved from 14 and saved all my adult life and never drove a NEW car until three years ago. SS goes straight to metals, we never have more than $300 between us. Too me, rich is never having to go without and not buying the newest or biggest or best.
