As expected, Cory Booker trounced the republican lonergan, quite easily, to become the first blck senator from New Jersey, despite fat christie's lame attempt to limit voter turn-out by holding the election on Wednesday. Also, Bookers win was another smashing defeat for the teatards like randi paul, rickie perry and pig palin who campaigned heavily for the loser lonegan.
So, President Obama gets a major win tonight, Senator Booker gets a major win, and the teatard party loses big...AGAIN

Hello Bo,

Corky can not be all bad, he is a vegan. I hope that he lives up to his speeches. Part of his campaign struck an accord with me that of being an American. I wish him well. I honestly do not think that he won because of his color; he has a solid record and did some things that I considered questionable in his first term, such as eliminating background checks for police, but the outcome was a dramatic reduction in crime in Newark and proved me wrong. He also took pay cuts, more than 8 percent in his first months in office. Let us hope he can bring the same spirit to the Senate.

Hello Ginny, I also wish the best for Senator Booker. He will have about 14 months to learn the job of being a quality senator before he has to run for a full term. Maybe he is type of new blood that can effect positive change and results and be a counter to wild men like cruz.

I think what is interesting is that potentially, an energetic message about getting things done versus shutting things down is attracting voters over the Tea Party Patriot message that could be getting old to voters.

Heaven knows that we need new blood, and this man does have an impressive resume. He did quite a lot in a short time in Newark. I followed him with interest because it seemed that there were some who would have done anything to sabotage his election. I hope that the "bad apples" on both sides do not taint him and his voice will be heard. He is quite well spoken and he does not appear to be an "angry black man" but one that wants the best for America. I think that he will do just fine.

Come election time, those who have let Americans down will be looking for ghost writers so they can produce books or go on the talking tours. Also, because another stop gap spending bill was passed I fear that what we just went through will happen again in January. I hope not, but I do not see either side making concessions. All the worse for the tax payers.

I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ABOUT SENATOR BOOKER. I HOPE COME JANUARY HE WILL THINK OF THE BEST FOR OUR COUNTRY ABOVE PARTY LOYALTY.
