I knew this was coming just by general public sentiment.
Fox stepped in it big time by holding on to their being the polar opposite attack dog's of the Main Stream Media. Being such they felt it necessary to hold true and therefore attack Trump viciously.
They lost and will continue to lose.

by John Nolte27 Feb 2016

Just last week, a years-long tradition came to a screeching halt. “You want me to put it on Fox News,” I asked my wife. “No,” she replied. “I’m done with Fox News.”

My job is to monitor the mainstream media, which is something that eats up about 14 hours of a day that begins at 6 a.m. when the cable morning shows begin. Lying next to me, my good sport of a wife suffers through about an hour of “Morning Joe,” whatever they call that left-wing garbage fire on CNN, and the rest. Out of habit, before I head to my desk, without really asking I always ask, “You want me to put it on Fox?”

Fox News has a problem, and not just with my wife. According to a YouGov Brand Index survey, the perception of Fox News among Republicans has hit a three-year low, “has declined by approximately 50% since January of this year.”

Basically, perception of Fox News has returned to those bad old Dick Morris days after President Obama won re-election. Much of the fall has come in the last few months. There is no question that this precipitous drop is the result of Fox’s ongoing war with Donald Trump.

This might be a good time to tell you that my wife is not a Trump supporter. Her frustrations and disappointment in Fox News have nothing to do with her personal political preference. Like many, it is something much larger than that.

1) Bias

Whether or not you support Trump, FNC’s pro-Rubio/GOP Establishment bias is still as hard to swallow as the mainstream media’s left-wing bias. Bias is bias. It’s manipulative and dishonest, and no one likes to be manipulated or lied to.

MSNBC is left-wing. CNN is even more left-wing. If every Democrat tuned into either, the ratings would crush Fox. Democrats don’t tune in, though, because even Democrats hate bias.

Fox’s ratings are still through the roof, but the people that have kept the “Fair and Balanced” network a juggernaut for more than a decade are losing respect for it. That could mean trouble when the excitement of the presidential campaign fades away. That could also give an upstart an opening.

2) Cluelessness

When it came to grasping the Trump phenomenon, Fox News was every bit as clueless and caught off guard as the BubbleDumb in the mainstream media. A few of the opinion-driven FNC pundits, like Sean Hannity, Eric Bolling and Andrea Tantaros, saw the writing on the wall, but they were outliers who, when you look back, only make the rest of the network look clueless, especially the straight news division.

And once the Trump phenomenon became achingly real, Fox either refused to acknowledge it, or pretended it wasn’t real.

I watch about 30 minutes of Fox News a day, the roundtable on Bret Baier’s “Special Report.” The three-person pundit panel is supposed to represent the smartest thinking in politics, and yet for months and months, every Friday during Candidate Casino, a feature where the pundits award up to a hundred chips (points) to various presidential candidates, no one would acknowledge the “Trump” writing on the wall. Some even admitted they could not acknowledge it.

I still tune into the roundtable, but now it’s for the same reason I monitor the mainstream media: to get a feel for the talking points and wishful thinking-propaganda coming from the GOP Mother Ship. In fact, for that same reason, I’m watching more Fox News than ever before. After all, my job is to expose media deception.

Here is something I never thought I would write in my lifetime: CNN’s handling of the Republican debates has been infinitely more professional, unbiased, and fair than Fox News. It’s not even close. If you go back and look at the debates, CNN’s Jake Tapper and Wolf Blitzer have out-classed Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace, and Bret Baier by a wide margin.

It is beyond comprehension that, instead of Fox News, I wish CNN was hosting Thursday night’s debate.

When I asked my wife why she is “done” with Fox News, her answer was simply, “They’re just like all the rest.”

Probably different if you poll Conservatives as opposed to Republicans.

That is certainly possible. I won't watch it prime time. I will watch Brit . He has a pretty even tone. Outnumbered is another I'll watch from time to time and The Five occasionally. I've shifted to internet from the tube the night Kelly went Rambo on Trump. Like him or not that was not called for in a debate and the previous debate had the same flavor. Fox prime time is totally bent. I don't like being steered. Give me untainted facts and I'll decide which way to go.

So I am pleased they are getting bashed in the pocket book. They deserve it.

My wife and I were loyal Fox fans since the news network opened its doors. We especially liked Megyn and I own a couple of O'Reilly's books.

The last time we watched Megyn was the first debate where she spent her time trying her best to humiliate Trump.

We continued to watch Fox intermittently for a while but have not had Fox on for at least the last two months. I do not anticipate going back to them any time soon.

I do support Trump but my wife is still not sure. Her favorite is Ben Carson and she says she will stay with him as long as he is running. Neither of us choose to watch Fox any longer.

I am not sure I know what you mean but I am a conservative leaning independent voter and I agree with the OP. Good riddance, Fox.

I also felt that FOX was relatively unbiased and middle of the road fair in their reporting until that debate. I no longer watch FOX and have no plans to do so.

It is unfortunate that they can't still report the news without the adjectives and the attitude.

Very unfortunate indeed. I fear FOX is attempting to protect its own interests and puts those above its obligation to report sans attitude. It is now behaving in.much the same manner as the other networks. I believe we are entering an age in which esch of us will be forced to be diligent with respect to researching for ourselves rather than buying what the media is shoveling. I pray we all take it on ourselves to do so because the media has proven itself to be untrustworthy.

Well, there is always MSNB, CNN, and the networks for Democrats and Trumpers that want to boycott Fox.

I mean that while Democrats, RINOS and Trump supporters hate Fox, conservatives would disagree.

I used to be a loyal watcher of Fox News. I use to watch Fox & Friends in the morning before work. When I got home, I watched Brett, Gretchen, Bill, Megan and Sean. My husband was sick of Fox because I always had it on. Since this election, they have tried to shove Jeb Bush down our throats. Now that Jeb is out they are trying to shove Marco Rubio down our throats and throw bombs at Trump and Cruz. Who are they going to back after Rubio has to drop out? I never turn on the other news stations because they stink with such bias. Now Fox News is stinking too.

I remember when CNN was popular with conservatives because they had 1 guy (Novak) on Crossfire that was conservative.

If you're waiting for Trump-TV, or Conservative-TV, you'll have to wait longer.

Fox is much fairer and more honest than any other popular TV news source. Better than almost every source, period.

You can find a few radio shows, perhaps. But is that all the news you want? I guess you cold be one of these guys that gets their news from tin-hat blogs..

They always stunk, like all corporate media. Its about time people are admitting it- the smell finally got so wretched it could not be ignored, even by faithful viewers.

I suspect that Fox will continue to dominate cable news viewing in the future.

I also agree they're pushing Rubio, just like everyone else is pushing Hillary or in a few cases whats-his-name. As a conservative Cruz supporter, I'd rather they did not. But as a conservative I also don't expect them to do whatever I want to do.

Trump, like all elites, is apparently unaccustomed to meeting people that don't kiss his ass and tell him how wonderful he is. His temper tantrums and twitter hate-vomits don't speak well to a man that wants the biggest and most important job in the known universe.

I'm not surprised that Trump is this much like Obama.

I am surprised how much Trump supporters are like Obama supporters.

Not whining. Angry and disgusted, merely voicing same. Big difference.
