We all seek our comfort zone & when we find it we try to stay in it. This is common on this site. You can sense the fear from those that only lash out at those the offer a different out look. I would say they have a very small comfort zone.

Some times it is best to look out side of your comfort zone & see if there is a better way of doing things & still have a comfort zone. You may find a way to expand your comfort zone & be more open to expanding it.

Ahhhh, Floyd....t'would be lovely....let me know if or when you've found a magical, universal formula that works. The only one I've found that works on OPP is to "NOT" talk politics and that rather defeats the purpose. Back in 2013 I "attempted" the soap box version, when all I had to work with was anonymnity. It worked "until" I made connections and I began to care what others thought. It has taken me a while to come to the realization that connections aren't always connections, some people don't always mean what they say, but dramatic oratory appeals, and an awful lot of opinions are set in concrete, and even if you held their firstborn hostage, their opinions would not waiver, that it is imperative to their belief system's sustainability that they NOT admit there "might" be merit to different trains of thought. I have begun to feel that the "real world" operates much the same way it does on OPP, and it saddens me. I will also acknowledge how high the stakes are these days and how much fear that strikes in my heart. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that "my" comfort zone is small....these days, I read and listen to what others have to say, contemplate their words, and "most of the time".... keep my opinions to myself. Mind you, some of my belief system has changed since coming aboard. I came to "search", I am "still" searching....but most of the time, below radar.

There is much greed going on around Us.

I say the people that have the greatest fear are the ones taking more of the pie.

May be I should put that another way: Maybe it's those wanting the most that have the greatest fears.

Having more when a person with the more leaves some pie for others is fine.

Most of Us would like more but realize that wanting too much isn't the best way for all of Us.

It is better for any of Us if the is a least some pie for every one. Once we have our comfort zone it would be nice if there was still some pie to go around (The American Dream)
Lets face it to have any reasonable comfort zone you need some assets. As more & more seek more comfort the ones with the most assets seek more in much greater amounts.

One can

Another persons lack of a comfort zone makes other's zone less comfortable.

The more those around Us have a good comfort zone the better ours will be.

Any thing going on in the world today has a bearing on our Zone in some way.

There is no way we can be truly comfortable is if every one has a zone where they can be safe & secure.

I can honestly say that the 'zone' I find myself in while reading both your's, Searching, and Floyd's posts/comments is most comfortable, albeit utopian in nature, at times. Like myself, however, each of you remain aware of the realities of life...while pursuing the more noble aspects of your own and other's lives. 8-) I commend the two of you.

Noble, I like what that implies. Not sure it fits, but nice to hear it. However, I'm comfortable enough, having met you in real life, to say "utopian"?....Care to clarify?

It has been my experience that those who demand more of the pie, without being part of the baking process, are the most angry and hateful. If you are not willing to pick the apples, core and peel them and make the pie, or be the one financing the equipment to do those jobs, then why do you believe that apple pie alla mode is due you just because you are here in America?

Simply put...Utopian: 'modeled on or aiming for a state in which everything is perfect, idealistic." Noble: 'Having or showing fine personal qualities and/or high moral principles & ideals."

That should clarify my comments.

I KNOW what the words MEAN, smarty. I was wanting specific examples, but probably unwise that is. I don't find Floyd nor myself believing that perfection is remotely possible, but we can have it on our wish lists....just so you know.....wouldn't want you to think that either of us suffer from delusions of......

Well, I meant for my words to make it clear that each of you wish for a better society..."albeit, utopian in nature, at times," yet, "each of you remain aware of the realities of life, while pursuing the more noble aspects of your own and other's live." My words portray my impressions of you and Floyd as both noble of heart and intent, yet limited by the realities of the world presented us. Also, that you attempt to bring out the best in all you can.

PM me if you have any further need for explanation. I am not certain that I can provide it. :|

I look at it as this site is our path.

I say one need not pay a toll of any kind.

A walk down it should not overly tax a persons brain or body.

But you will be asked to think about things once in a while.
It would be kind of you to share some of your deeper thoughts with us. As we share ours with you.

We will share deeper thoughts with you & promise to respect your views even if you see little value in ours.
