Don't get me wrong here I love women but I can't understand where all these polls, Rasmussen, Gallup you name it have women giving this narcissist president positive results. His positive approval rating from women is in the 50's depending on which poll you look at. Granted a large majority of this group is single mothers. Some in this group obviously vote for the party that subsidizes them and their life styles. Of course a sizeable number of single mothers are not looking for government to be their babies daddy they are working hard and trying, however; this group also votes Democrat. If you are a single mom the policies in place by this administration are killing you. Unemployment high, underemployment even higher. Inflation on the rise and part time jobs mostly being created.
I would like to hear from women on this site why this love fest with Obama.

If I was a "Male Chauvinistic pig," I'd say, women love to be abused and beaten.

Just kidding.........but...............why do women support a man that's

destroying their lives and futures???????????????

Well ya know? I just have to respond to the ignorance I see in this post.
1st off being a single mother does not automatically mean you're on welfare. The average time a family is on welfare-and this stat has been true for 40 years-is 19 months.
HOWEVER! There used to be programs in place to help single mothers get better educations, find decent homes and get decent jobs. I was lucky enough to be blessed with those programs. I went on to get a college degree.
And why is it single fathers always get help from the community? No questions asked-no judgment. I've seen single fathers have people offer to babysit, do laundry, bring meals over and help with sick kids. NO ONE does this for single mothers.
Don't blame American women for the problems of this country. WE are holding this country together. There's nothing wrong with American women. We have always been the backbone of this country. We USED to have decent men to stand beside. Now we are left to stand alone. Why is that?

Nothing, except the majority of American women are too smart to buy into Republican trash talk about their gender.
How conveniently you fail to mention the Lily Ledbetter Act which gives women the right to sue for equal pay for equal work. Or, the Democratic Party Platform that supports choice and access to contraception for women.

Consider, if there weren't so many "deadbeat Dad's" there might not be so many women and children dependent on government assistance.

But, I know what you support-Capitalism for the poor and Welfare for the corporations.

What an ignorant post. You have no idea about what I support. I ran businesses and my employees all made the same no matter what gender. I also don't give a damn about your contraception practices. I am however a Christian and do not believe in abortion and do not think my taxes should subsidize abortions That is another subject. Also give me a break on the contraception issue. You are smart enough to buy birth control or make sure your partner does. There is easy access to prevention. I also believe deadbeat dads should work on a chain gang and their earnings go to their x's and kids. Corporations should never get corporate welfare but capitalism is the only way for people to lift themselves out of poverty no matter how flawed the system sometimes is.

Where did anyone say single mothers are automatically on welfare? There are programs in place and they are needed. My problem with this welfare state is it is bankrupting us which leaves less money for the people who really are in need and trying to help themselves. I don't remember blaming women for this country's problems. I just simply asked why a majority of women support Obama. You are right. I believe women are the backbone of the family and families are the backbone of the country. I congratulate you on your achievements. That fortitude is exactly what I am scared may be leaving us. I think I am a decent man but I'm not sure standing by you is safe. You seem angry.

Because in the 70's you called us, "Male Chauvinistic Pigs," told us you didn't need us, because, you could do better on your own and threw us under the bus.

So, suck it up and deliver.

Hey Homestead. Didn't we basically just ask a simple question? These two just reinforced my belief in staying single. Great posts by the way. I think I'm gonna watch the game, have a beer and hope some angry woman doesn't shoot me.

With ObamCare coming up, you definitely need to stay single.

The New Federal Wedding Tax: How Obamacare Would Dramatically Penalize Marriage
http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2010/01/the-new-federal-wedding-tax-how-obamacare-would-dramatically-penalize-marriage?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=&utm_content=&utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_content=headline&utm_campaign=saturday131005

The Senate bill is designed to provide health care benefits that are substantially more generous for lower-income persons. The bill’s anti-marriage penalties occur because of the income counting and benefit structure rules of the bill. If a two-earner couple is married, the bill counts their income jointly; since the joint income will be higher, a married couple’s health care subsidies would be lower.[2]

By contrast, if a couple cohabits rather than marrying, the bill counts each partner’s income separately. Separate counting means that, all else being equal, cohabiters would be treated as having lower incomes and therefore receive disproportionately greater government benefits. The bottom line: under the bill, a cohabiting couple would receive substantially higher health care subsidies than a married couple even when the total incomes of both couples are identical.

Tables 1 through 5 in the appendix illustrate this pattern of pervasive financial discrimination against married couples. In the examples in the charts, the couples are assumed to have no dependent children, neither partner has employer-provided health insurance, and each couple’s earned income is assumed to be split equally between the partners—if a married couple has an income of $50,000, the husband is assumed to earn $25,000 and the wife $25,000. (The details of the analysis are described in the appendix to this paper.)

As Tables 4 and 5 show, under the Senate bill, married couples in general would receive between $1,500 and $10,000 less in government health care support than would cohabiting couples with the same total income.

Well I am not one of those American women that is 50 yrs old. I hate Obozo and everything he stands for. And yes there are lazy women in this country that keep having kids so they dont have to work. I am a over the road truck driver. And I feel that all women should get off there butts and go to work. Even if it part-time. So your welfare gets cut. Get over it. And be a good American contributing to this country, not sucking the teat.

Im a woman for Obama. I have a good income and portfolio that in any other time might have made me a republican, but I think mainly because of education that I am pro-Obama-we (Obama and I) are both for it. Proud to be educated rather than ignorant-doubting evolution and climate change, like the folks on the right. I do not think government is the enemy, but that government can be a force for good-education, research, infrastructure. I think the country does better when we ALL do better, as that was proved by looking at the economy during republican and democratic administrations. I like a society that belives we are all in this together-not selfish and screaming about SNAP feeding hungry kids with our tax dollars. I travel a lot internationally, and see what other wealthy countries both tax and provide for their citizens, have NOT crumbling infrastructure, have good schools, sane gun laws, not such a wide disparity between the rich and poor, have government healthcare. I hate that the political power is concentrated by and used for benefit of the wealthy few. I am pretty well off myself, but would be happier if there were more of a contribution of the wealthy to fund improving the US.

Pretty much I am for Obama because i am so very ashamed of the right.

That's o.k. the right is very ashamed of you. Shame on you for calling anyone ignorant because they don't support your point of view. We throw more money at education than any other country and look at our public schools. If you want to give more money give it. No one is stopping you. Lot of people in Nazi Germany didn't think government was the enemy either. I prefer to rely on myself and everyday Americans who work hard pay their taxes, believe in personal responsibility. What a brilliant statement. You and Obama are for education. No kidding Sherlock. Who wouldn't say that? I'm for school vouchers and charter schools I guess that makes me the antichrist. These great programs like snap (nice of you to throw in the hungry children talking points) are necessary for the very needy. If you keep giving food stamps to the sorry asses who are not needy there won't be any money left to help the truly needy. You are a typical liberal spouting all the talking points about education hungry children and other countries. I to have traveled outside the U.S. and couldn't wait to get back home. You don't see millions of Americans trying to get into other countries. You are well off through education and hard work (government job perhaps). I guess that means the rest of us who are well off but don't like Obama stole our money. You like a society that believes we are all in this together. Your full of it. You like a society that agrees with you. I have read enough of your posts to know what an elitist snob you are.
