as if we had nothing to worry about

I was listening to NPR yesterday, when I heard the most disturbing story I've heard in years. There is now a superbug that can not be treated by any known antibiotic. It seems to have started in China and passed on to Denmark and the UK.
This, by anyones definition is a game changer. It means that unless a new way to fight dangerous infections is found, our kids and grandchildren will grow up in a far more dangerous world.
This is as dangerous as global warming! When will humanity get it's act together?

Redd, I don't always agree with NPR, but it's stories are usually right on. In any case the far right won't be able to politicize this horror, as they did global warming if the bug ever catches on, which is only a matter of time. Right , left or center prepare for the worst!

There are good things you can use to fight desease that is resistant to antibiocs. coloidal silver, food grade peroxide, garlic. You can research these to find out more about them and how to use them. I currently use garlic soft gets for angina. you do have to use a lot more than it says on the bottle. it also works for sinus infection as my husband is using it for that. please research it and stock up. They used garlic to fight the black plague. Hope this helps someone .

open eyes, I've been following this story for the past twenty years. It was only a matter of time before this would happen. It seems that there was only one anti biotic that was still effective on super bugs. The Chinese were using this on cattle.
I don't know how effective the substances you mention are, but I'm a big fan of modern medicine. When I was five years old, I had nephritis which was pretty much terminal. I was cured with massive daily doses of penicillin.
I am worried for my grandchildren. I hope that medicine has another strategy for fighting infection, or we will go back to the bad old days before World War 11.
