Earlier Ted Cruz said if he was president that he would carpet bomb ISIS until the "Sand Glowed" and I just wonder how carpet bombing ISIS will prevent radical American Muslims from buying guns and going on a shooting sprees here in the United States?

The goal of all muslims, which Muhammad stated in the qur'an, is applicable to all muslims of the umma (worldwide Islamic community), is to pursue the establishment of an Islamic Califate.

The realization of a "califate," established in 2014, on conquered territory in Syria/Iraq, with an administering Islamic government, and independent (although stolen) sources of income has inspired thousands of the muslim youth from one hundred nations to travel to ISIS territory to serve Allah as Mujahideen (Holy Warriors).

If that "magical" territory is rendered worthless by carpet bombing, and wrested from ISIS by the Infidel nations, as it's glowing sand becomes glass; the incentive, i.e., inspiration of would-be Islamic warriors in our own country would be greatly diminished... as their precious califate would no longer exist.

No I'm serious. How is carpet bombing ISIS going to prevent a similar rampage like we just had here?

You hope it would be greatly diminished but you will notice that Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda had no trouble finding inspiration so I tend to thing that hate is a far more useful tool in inspiring jihad than simply a caliphate--which in all honesty they already have in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. After all, it was 19 men from Saudi Arabia that got this ball rolling...

Cut off the head of the snake.

Two weeks before the attack in San Bernardino, WebBank.com deposited $28,000 in Syed Farook's account. Several days prior to the attack, Farook withdrew $10,000 in CASH. Where do think that money came from? His sugar daddy? WebBank is a virtual money mover, dude.

It is easy if you bomb the hell out of someone to make a point, civilian women children and the elderly be damned they and their supporters will become docile and decide not to mess with the people who did it. Don't you remember after 9-11 when Americans collectively said since they attacked we had best stop dealing with the middle east entirely and we did. By destroying the trade center Bin Laden got us right off his back. Extreme aimless violence always works to achieve peace and stability. We can bomb the ISIL terrorists regardless of where they are and collateral damage. This of course would mean carpet bombing San Bernardino and suburban Paris because that is where the terrorists came from. Ted Cruz is pandering to idiots and he is stepping up his game to compete with Trumps buffoonery. The California mass shooters came from Saudi Arabia and a second generation from Pakastan. No American president will carpet bomb either. It is damn near impossible to fight bad ideas with bombs, it just draws attention to the bad ideas.

Bad ideas also radicalize people and create more terrorists--one would hope that that was the lesson learned. But as long a demagoguery will get you votes there are no bad ideas--sadly the reality we face...

It won't - and they very well know that. The GREATEST weapon ISIS and other terrorist organizations have - is the internet - and you can't bomb that at all.

The bottom line is, when you don't understand what's happening and don't have a cogent plan - just say "bomb the hell out of them" - and the people will give you a pass - because they don't understand either.

The Romans tried to eliminate Christianity, by feeding the one's they caught to lions, bears and otherwise killing them - but it didn't work did it - because they went underground. Ask Cruz and the rest of the idiots, how they plan to deal with terrorists - who don't stay still to be bombed - who don't openly admit to BEING a terrorist and how to find the millions of them scattered all over the world - and how to bomb THEM - without starting a war with those countries.

You won't get an answer, of course, but it would be interesting to watch a weasel at work, trying to deflect or misdirect.

Two weeks before the attack Syed already had all the guns, ammo, and gunpowder for bombs he needed for his attack. What would be the point of ISIS sending money to finance an attack that was already paid for and in place? Wouldn't it be money better spent to finance another attack not yet in place or are you assuming ISIS not smart enough to think that far ahead--dude?

It might not prevent those that are already here from buying guns, running them in from Mexico, or just being satisfied with pipe bombs.

What it will prevent is the support they get from the areas that are glowing.

ISIS is terrorist-chic because they're winning. There was no ISIS infiltration of Europe and America before they started kicking our ass and grabbing land the size of Great Britain and capturing oil wells for funding. And that same glamour will decline sharply if we start kicking their ass and taking their revenues and land away from them.

You better buy a gun then, and learn how to use it. Man, you're full of the stupid statements and questions, aren't you?
