So, I want you leftists to answer one simple question. What law would have prevented this shooting? Be specific.

Keep in mind that there are already tens of thousands of gun laws on the books, and criminals don't obey these laws.

So, what law could have prevented this tragedy?

Quite obviously, a disarmed population is easier to exterminate than citizens capable of defending their lives. Through out history each law was an attempt to use "gun control" to control or maintain power by either a failing government or a new, brutal government. Each set of laws, from different countries, all said that members of the "politically correct party (i.e., the Nazis or communists - or whoever was in or gathering power) were exempt from these laws. Each set of laws, each speaking the language of tyranny, used "gun control" as the key to gun confiscation - and then genocide - the murder of millions and millions of people…This history lesson shows that "gun control" issued each time a tyrant wants to take or strengthen his power. That lesson is why men of liberty and freedom - who are also educated in history - fear "gun control" - because history shows it helps to pave the way to tyranny with many dead bodies.

I think you will be waiting for a very long time for their response.

Even a Liberal must admit that smuggling things into California from Mexico is an accepted activity. They have an open border, even though they go through the pretense of border checks. Even though the FBI has not said so, I suspect this is where the guns came from. Also, the population of Muslims has been growing quickly in Mexico for the past 3 years. The prayer congregation has tripled since Mexico City's Centro Cultural Islamico de Mexico (CCIM) first opened its doors 6 years ago. And Mexico City now supports 3 new mosques.... all built after 911.
