The attempt to legalize pot across the nation with media saying it is good for just about everything like: glaucoma - headaches - bipolar disorder - schizophrenia - Alzheimer's - incontinence - impotence - menopause - genital herpes. Studies have shown it seems to be true except for the mental health part.

It’s the Brain Damage Stupid

With all the young folk yelping yea, yea, let’s get high it apparently has not registered with them that they have become useful idiots for the left wing mindset. A four decade study published in 2012 by the National Academy of Sciences says steady use of pot by the young mind destroys your mind. The intensive study made it quite clear, “Persistent cannabis users show neuropsychological decline from childhood to midlife.” the study followed over one thousand subjects from birth until they were thirty eight years old. So what were the researcher's core findings? Repeated marijuana use day after day by teenagers lowers your IQ - permanently! That’s right in like forever dude!

It Makes You Stupid

A very loud voice shouted to be heard above the marijuana smoke, a discordant note right from ground zero by Dr. Christian Thurstone who just happens to be a professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado. He heads up a adolescent rehab center called Substance Abuse Treatment Education & Prevention (STEP). Dr. Thurstone stated, “Virtually all of the patient referrals to his program, 95% of them, were the result from marijuana use.”

In a interview by ABC News the good doctor explains, “We are seeing kids in treatment here who have paranoia and are seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. Adolescent exposure to marijuana raises the risk of permanent psychosis into adulthood.”
A team of scientist has since revealed that “twenty five percent of new cases of psychotic mental illness can be blamed on super strength strains of marijuana,” reports the Daily Mail.

It looks like the future of America is going right down the toilet with hordes of new addicts in Washington state and Colorado clammering to get high because the left wing ruse “it is safe to use” is all the youngsters need to hear.

How Many Are Under the Influence?

By cutting to the chase we can take in a quick aerial panorama of the American mindscape. The stats & facts say according to the most recent study by the Federal Dept. of Health & Human Services, more than 24 million Americans use illegal drugs, comprising marijuana/hashish, crack cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens, inhalants, or prescription type psychiatric drugs used without a prescription.

Here are a few points to ponder from the study:
24.6 million Americans or 9.4% are current illicit drug users.
Marijuana was the most commonly used illicit drug, with 19.8 million users.
1.5 million are cocaine users with 1.3 million using hallucinogens, another 595,000 using meth (a slow death), and 681,000 using heroin.
6.5 million used prescription type psychotherapeutic drugs without a scrip.
9.9 million Americans reported driving under the influence of illegal drugs just during the past year.

The tragic facts are in any given day hundreds of minors & teenagers start their drug using careers as documented by The National Survey on Drug Use and Health that documents, since 2013, some 1,647 new people per day uses cocaine for the first time, 463 new users tried heroin for the first time each day, 395 newbies started meth, 2,058 were given the trip drug Ecstasy, and a mind bending 4,110 new people used illegally obtained psychotherapeutics. Keep in mind that is every single day!

Stats for DUI of Alcohol

Please fasten your seat belts for these mind numbing numbers:
In 2013, nearly 25% of all American participated in binge drinking, around 60.1 million people (Defined as more than 5 drinks in the same day).
16.5 million were heavy drinkers (meaning binge drinking for at least five days out of 30).
Among young adults 21 - 25 of college age binge drinking was an astonishing 43.3% and the rate of heavy drinking was 14.3 %.
It is estimated that 10.9% of the population or 28.7 million people drive under the influence of alcohol at least once in the past year.

Bottom Line

Stats from the Dept. of Health & Human Services state: “In an average year 30 million American (not including illegal aliens) drive drunk and 10 million drive impaired by illicit drugs.”

There are 80 million Americans out of 320 million in the United States thus stupefied on alcohol or illicit drugs with 40 million driving under the influence. This nation without a doubt suffers a huge substance abuse problem when 25% of its population is stupefied on any given day.

Conclusion

That is a lot of mind altering substance that is reflected today in the number of murder suicides, deaths on our highways by DUI loadies, overdoses from the most popular drug now heroin, hearts exploding from smoking crack cocaine, minds bent from Ecstasy & haluncingenetics. People hooked on smoking meth that destroys you from the inside out. Marijuana the step stone drug that leads into a psychotic wonderland of paranoia & obesity from overeating while under the influence and the countless prescription drugs that work on your mental health with depression the big side effect with most.

My question to you as parents, do you want this outcome in your youngster's life? If you don’t care then I hope you have good healthcare & car insurance. You just might need it one day when your child gets out of control on whatever and destroys others lives. You just might need a good lawyer then. My advice to you then is keep a close eye on how they are acting around you and if they seem like they are under the influence of something that is when you need to get them help. If not then, then when?

The attempt to legalize pot across the nation with... (show quote)

All through history there have been examples of drug-use, even when drugs were sold by the case by "Uncle Ben's Travelling Medicine Show." The legal bottles of "medicine," contained huge % of alcohol/moonshine, cocaine, morphine, opium and any variety of deadly poisonous, hallucinogenic, "magic" or wild mushrooms, and NOBODY really knew exactly what they were selling; or buying. And there were ALWAYS a certain percentage of humans who would not indulge, slightly indulge and over-indulge; for just one "overdose," to years and years of addiction to little or no effect. I rather like the fact that "pot" has become legalized, and the "criminal" element is no longer attracted!!!
