I do know the massacre at Deir Yassin was carried out by Zionist terrorist gangs Irgun and Lehi during the 1948 purge of Palestinians ("Nabka" or "Catastrophe" ) in which over a million Palestinians were either killed or driven out of Palestine, never being allowed to return.

Israel is insane. Millions died in a century of wars to enable Zionists to steal Palestine from its rightful owners.
Once Zionists were able to get about half of Palestine by bribing UN countries to vote for the UN mandate, Zionist terrorists proceeded to steal almost all the remaining Palestinian land.
The part which is especially insane is that Israel's leaders thought the Arabs could be easily controlled. Perpetual war is required in the Middle East to enable Israel to continue to exist.
In the last decade, the U.S. military has sacrificed close to 7,000 lives and $trillions to protect a country which is about the size of New Jersey with a population less than NY City.
