George Washington warned Americans about alliances like we have with Israel.

In his farewell address President Washington said this about alliances with foreign countries:

. . . "So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. If our Founding Fathers were able to be alive today..they would arm themselves and charge the Capital and White House...and then they would gather up an Army such as never seen before...and there would not be one Muslim left. Washington was referring to any foreign entanglement with any foreign country at any time.
