Written by another who has no idea how the government is to pay for yet another deficit inducing piece of legislation but tries to turn that funding problem into a mean and greed problem for not willingly going along with it.

Greed on the part of the sick, or greed on the part of the insurance companies that do not want to spend at least 80% of their premiums on care for the sick? I think sick people needing healthcare are desperate, not greedy. 50% of the personal bankruptcies in the US are due to medical bills, something that never happens in other developed countries, who have single payer. Medicare, our government run, single payer health program has an overhead of 5%. Currently, insurance companies have an overhead of 33%. Under Obamacare, they will have to make due with 20%. We should have had "medicare for all" instead of obamacare, but I will take what I can get.

Nobody--but NOBODY will be better off with obamacare!
It's like making our National parks off limits to most people; who are they saving them for? obamacare is unsustainable! When the country is gone, who benefits? Not the poor, not the rich, just the politicians, who will have set themselves up on some tropical island in the Pacific. I'll be damned if I'd work my tail off, so somebody sitting all day can go to the doctor for free. Everybody should be responsible for their own health insurance.
This is totally out of the purview of the federal govt.

so what would you have people do on minuium wage, what would you have people do with pre existing conditions,,what do you do with the 40 to 50 million that cant afford health insurance,do you suggest death squads. i dont think abama is great,it would not have been like it is if it hadnt been for all the lobbiest getting what they all wanted, just like bussiness spent millions lobbying to get what they wanted, and you know what they want, and their getting it an excuse to get rid of employee healthcare, thats been their goal, just like getting rid of pensions, soon it will be vacations, holidays, and any other benfits people have earned over the years. then they have more to pay their ceos

This is laughable. Read the AFA and you will find out that the supposed "death panels" are the result of the talking heads, the partisan news channels, and the partisan blogs that distorted the actions that Drs do today. That is to inform people to obtain documents that allow the Drs to talk to relatives, to turn off life support if the patient doesn't want it etc. Don't let someone else control your mind, read the bill (Thomas Library of Congress)/

It is interesting that none of the Congressional detractors of the AFA offered up an option for privatized health care like they have in Switzerland or Japan. They have regulated private insurance companies.

We could start by eliminating subsidies for corporate farms and bringing common sense to the farm bill instead of trying to reduce snap only.Free enterprise is not possible when so many subsidies are given away. Try reducing spending on corporate welfare before attacking programs you consider to be socialist. Capitalism? Not any more, unless you define capitalism as those controlling capital passing laws to ensure they maintain control.

It takes a completely out of touch person to believe a government run agency is more efficient than a private for profit company. It then takes an even more out of touch person to compare single payer systems with Obamacare - which it certainly isn't. Finally, one needs to be completely out of touch with anything resembling reality to not understand the government cannot borrow to infinity with impunity.

We're not rich, but we've always managed to pay our own way, and see that our 5 kids are getting by. I think it's time for the American people to be self-reliant again. Too many people have an entitlement mentality. Why do some people start families when they are in no position to take care of those families? Is it because there are so many programs to assist them? At best, it's survival. All the dumbing-down 'education' promotes just that--satisfaction with bare survival. Kids don't dream any more about being an astronaut; a fireman; president of GM--whatever. For the last 5 years, kids are seeing their parents feeling hopeless. Welfare and charity are no replacement for goals and good jobs, with a future.

If you think Obamacare is going to be so great, I encourage you to go to the nearest Veterans Hospital and just sit there and watch how they treat our Vet's. It is REALLY BAD. My husband has to wait on the average 6 to 8 months for a doctors appointment. Yes I said months!! If he is sick with the flu, they are told to go to the ER....it is sometimes a 12 hour wait in the ER. Folks THIS IS GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE!! I don't think anyone will want this once it has gone through... then it will be to late.
