It was a decision by the judges .thet are a lot more qaulified than the public.iam glad she won it the Indians are thr only true Americans .

The fools I was referring to were the ones who are upset. Was she american, was she a female, did she impress the judges enough to win? I guess so.

I agree. She is very beautiful and she is American, she is simply of Indian decent. For several years we had Hispanics, Asians and blacks crowned, so again what is the big deal?

Would it be more natural for a conservative or a liberal to be upset by this win of a native american? Is it helpful that the Declaration of Independence did not include, at its conception, blacks, women, non-land-owning whites, or those who were here before us euros, the natives.

She is an American of Indian ancestry, not an American Indian. As in Hindu, Taj Mahal, etc. Technically, though, she is a native American, because she was born here, the daughter of American citizens, not amnestied wetbacks.
