Today in history was a busy one. In 1867, the US took formal possession of Alaska from Russia. In 1898, the US took possession of Puerto Rico, and in 1931, Thomas Edison died.

Chuck Berry (1926) and Lee Harvey Oswald (1939) were born. It is also my granddaughter, Britney's, birthday (1995). :thumbup:
