Why do I say that you & I can not do any thing about it?

Well for starters you blame Obama for what is going on. You fail to see that the problem is deeper than Obama.

So right there we are divided. Failing to go after the core problem will not do any good in fixing any thing.

So until you & I can find what we feel is the real problem there is nothing we can do. Of course by you & I include others like Us.

We need to be United in what we see & seek to do. & it is plain to me that most on the Right fail to see the part that those on the Right have played in getting to where we are at.

It is not my intention to hold you or I to blame for what has happened.

The blame each of Us deserves is that we don't find the trust in our self & each other needed to find what needs to be done.

The changes we seek need not need force to bring about.

When we can state United what most of wish to have changed, change can be had. After all it is people just like Us that do most of every thing that is taking place.

We are every where not much really gets done with out Us.

If we can be United in taking our message to the world. Those that would be our leaders will get the message.

Most of Us do not wish to be leaders, but we reject being sent down the wrong path.

There are those that do mot want us to be United. Those are our worst enemies.

That is pretty much the core as I see it too.

There are limits to what the earth can handle with the things we are making.

We need to point out those that over do things with materialism even if it is our self.

Most of Us here in the USA buy to much junk.

Most of what is good about life is our interpersonal relationships with each other. If we have good family & friends we don't need to impress them with our junk.

If we can treat others much like we treat family & friends things are better.

When people are secure in their personal life they tend to treat others with more respect.

Isn't respect from others one of the key things we seek in life?

Jerry; two observations...what you say here has been said, almost exactly word for word since man fell out of the trees...money, materialism and manipulation predate neanderthal...They are human nature.

How? We can't coordinate a few thousand people to agree on a cohesive course of action...how do we do it with 320 million or better yet 6 billion?

Sorry but let me jump in here.

"We The People" is every one .One big family even if few get along.

The aim is to get as many as possible to get along.

The long way is the best way.

Might makes Right is not the best way.

Logic & reason is the only lasting way to put it together.

We have come a long way to this point & we have gathered perhaps enough of each to make a try at it.

Even if we think of our self as the only person with the right answers we need to have others see the light.Only if the others see what we see will there be any light.

If no one else sees the light there may not be any light.

Then we need to find a way to get along in the dark until more than one sees a light.

There is light out there & we do see it but we don't under stand just what it is. We all see the same light but from a divergent angle.From time to time we need to look at things from other angles.

After time more people will see the best way to look at the issue.

At that time we will do things one would hope a better way.

Until that time we will keep batting our heads against the wall.

Humanoids have been on this planet for the better part of one million years. They are by nature, self centered, territorial, combative and not in the least logical...That has not changed in those million years.

CDM: We the People are living now under the influence of the new technology, and a system of government in which the supreme power is exercised by Corporations and the special interest who spend torrent of $$$$ money in our political process since 2010, ruling by 5 Republican Justices of our U.S. Supreme Court in the case Citizens United Vs. FEC that allowed Corporations and the special interest to spend torrent of $$$$ money to elect the best politicians money can buy. The only way "We the People" can get the attention of elected officials is either by kicking them out of office when they do nothing to help the people majority, or helping them to keep their jobs when they do something good for the benefit of U.S.A.

I don't fundamentally disagree with what you say. I just don't see how it will ever happen.

From my perspective we are in a generational changing of the guard. The original Capitalists, the Boomers (We the People) are gone and the Millennials are taking over as the largest and most influential generation. And the Millennials are very amenable to non-capitalist socialism. They have fully embraced non-productive technology and the philosophy of life being more than work, broadly speaking of course.

This will take some time to sort out, possibly a full generation, but regardless, to anticipate that things will ever be as they were is not realistic. I suspect that going forward business hand-in-glove with government will truly be the new norm. And as a result Democracy will fully displace the Democratic Republic. Remember, Republics don't normally last too long and always succumb to left leaning ideologies.

Not that it will be pretty, it won't but that is the nature of evolution.
