Wow, influential lobbyists...who'd have thunk it? Sadly regrettable, but not nearly so much as the results from the Citizen's United decision. I doubt $5,000 gets nearly so much attention from an elected representative as millions of dollars for election/reelection. It is yet another example of 'money talks.' If elections are to be bought, why would it surprise anyone that congressional votes can be? :?
Do you think this could be an issue for congressional race in '16? My question is how much money does it take to have a senator vote against the country? How can we trust those that took money? How many other issues were bought? With the approval numbers of the "deal" what will the effects be.
How many other legislators were bought? Do we have a credibility problem? Both parties have this problem. Think voters should be supplied with brooms to clean house?
Votes are the ultimate weapon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
