Wait, How Many Immigrants Are On Welfare?

This is surprising: 51%more than halfof Americas immigrant households receive some kind of welfare from the government.
And a whopping 76% immigrant households with kids are receiving government dollars as well.
The welfare theyre receiving includes Medicaid, food stamps, free or subsidized school lunches, and housing assistance.
For comparison, 30% of those who were born in America receive welfarenot a small number, but substantially lower by comparison.
The findings come as immigrationespecially illegal immigrationhas exploded as an issue in the Republican primaries, largely fueled by Donald Trumps controversial comments on border security and Mexican immigrants earlier in the summer.
Many Republican presidential candidates have called for a massive overhaul of Americas immigration laws, going as far as to end birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants, by using a more nuanced reading of the 14th Amendment.
Steven Camarota, the author of the report, said part of the problem is that our immigration system is not nearly as selective as it needs to bemeaning were turning away educated aspiring immigrants from some countries, while turning a blind eye to the wave of uneducated laborers pouring across the border.
This should not be understood as some kind of defect or moral failing on the part of immigrants, Camarota said about his report.
Rather, what it represents is a system that allows a lot of less-educated immigrants to settle in the country, who then earn modest wages and are eligible for a very generous welfare system.

:thumbdown: More than we can imagine!!! as they come into our country, they breed like Rats and BINGO!!!! Welfare is their life, our Taxpayers have to foot the Bill. They get free Healthcare, free Housing, and anything they can get their hands on. Then what do our Poor American Low Income, get? The Scraps!!!! Illegals live the Life of Riley, while we end up on the Streets of Poverty. I been there done that!1 and it is sheer bloody Hell.

It's a picture of America today. The middle class is hard hit as it supports illegals on welfare. Our citizens should always come first. Our politicians have yet to understand the meaning of ILLEGAL.

this will sound cruel. If democrats are so committed to the immigrant pregnant let them specifically pay for it. Donald didn't help your programs did he? Why do democrats ignore talented people and want low information people. I know they want the welfare system to thrive.

:thumbdown: We are Doomed!!! Thanks to Obama and his Followers, we will never recover from this disaster. American's who suffer from the wrath of Obama, will never have a good life, both in Poverty and Unemployment. I hope we can find a good leader this coming 2016 Election. They say that Trump is the best pick. What do you think?

:thumbup: Americans should always come first, no matter what. This is our country not the Mooching Trespassing Illegals. Their countries need to care for their own people and stop using America. Our Country Our Money and Our Life, belongs to us, and nobody else.
