There's nothing like a political cartoon or a bumper sticker to drive "TRUTH" home ...
To me this cartoon seems like real life. I never watch the MSM anymore
because I got tired of their propaganda!

There is too much truth in this one for our left leaning "friends" to read clear through but I thought it was very good.

Gracious - what an unusual mass shooting :!: :!:
Sad but True. This cartoon is a cartoon of truth. The "gun grabbers" will only manage to keep weapons out of the hands of good people allowing only criminals and/or the criminally insane to have them. I do not own a gun but I should/must have the right to purchase one if the need arises.

I think I understand how you feel but, having carried a concealed weapon legally for over 47 years, I can say without equivocation or hesitation that, if you have the thoughts you've expressed, you MUST have envisioned a situation or scenario where HAVING a gun with the knowledge and skills to use it could save your life and/or the lives of those you love. Without having the tool (weapon) and the skills to use it IN ADVANCE without causing danger or harm to innocent people, you are unprepared for any possible life-ending event that may happen. I want to attempt to change your mind.
Most people are under the mistaken impression that the police are responsible to provide that protection. Many state court decisions have been upheld all the way to the U.S. Court of Appeals in DC saying in effect that it is a "FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE of American Law" that no federal state or local jurisdiction or political subdivision can be held responsible for failing to provide public services (fire protection, police protection, water) to any INDIVIDUAL. They are only obligated to provide those services to society as a whole.
This principle is universal, being enunciated by formal statute as well as judicial decision in many states. Nor is it simply a cynical ploy for government to avoid just liability. The proposition that individuals must be responsible for their own immediate safety, with police providing only an auxiliary general deterrent, is inherent in a free society. i.e., Warren v. District of Columbia (444 A.2d 1, D.C. App.181)
http://www.thegunzone.com/rkba/warren.html The aphorism "When seconds count, the police are just minutes away" is all too true, too many times. If you have used tools of any kind in your life, you know that it takes time to learn the skills to operate the tool effectively and safely. With weapons used for self-defense, that is doubly true because your right to self-defense does not include taking innocent life or damaging the property of others in the process. The skills necessary when using weapons are part of a life and death proposition and one MUST accept the personal responsibility for their proper implementation.
It will only get more difficult as time goes on to obtain guns and ammunition for practice and personal defense. The question of "When" they will be needed is becoming more obvious than "If" they will be needed.
