The Middle!

Most of us do not seek to control others. Most of us do not wish to be controlled by others.

Most of us are more or less in the middle.

Most of us respect the need of others to have a little corner of the World where we fit in & can live in peace with each other & have some of the comforts that make life better.

But the excess greed by some makes matter worse for
most of us,

The interesting thing to me as one in the middle is how many want to focus on the "greed" of those they perceive as being given something for "free", though if you know anything about those systems it is pretty obvious that even those things seen as free are not.
That aside, there are a whole lot of folks getting something for nothing in capital gains, to use the tax term, and those same people don't mind that at all.
When the rhetoric is that people earn what they have doesn't that mean earned income?
Capital gains are not that.

Deep down, I believe most of us would LIKE to control others, at least to the extent that we can get what we want, but do not have the power/money to accomplish that. So I understand those that DO have the power/money to get what they want, even at the expense of others.

To most of us, earning a million dollars a month seems astronomical, but to the person making that, it seems quite normal. Here's the difference, if we imagine making a million dollars a month, but then have something happen that causes us to only make a half million a month, we won't be too upset, BUT, the person who actually MADE a million a month and was reduced to a half million a month - they'd be devastated and terrified.

Greed is generated by fear, in the final analysis, just as is anger. The poor want more money, so that they need not fear homelessness or starvation. The middle class want more money, so that they need not fear losing everything they own, or fear being destitute in their old age. The rich want more money - because they fear becoming - middle class.

Yes that is where we are at now & that is a big part of the problems in the world.

We just need to slow down & see that the quality of each of our life's is dependent on the quality of life of others.

I feel that there are many of us out there that realize this.

That if we seek to have more than we really need that some one may have less.
