We set about to ruin our job market thru bad policies in the 80's and '90's--
With strong job market at home the USA would have made it OK in 2007/2008.
We gave our jobs away thru stupid trade agreements that were short sighted. If we had kept our own markets protected we could have withstood any type of downturn----no matter who caused the Big Downturn.

The last job that I know of that was shipped to China was Sensata Technologies, Mitt Romney's Bain Capital company. Sensata was shipped out on Nov. 5, 2012, a day before the 2012 elections, taking 170 jobs with them. Why the day before the elections? Because if Romney won president it wouldn't make him look so bad and that just does not work with me.
That is all Americans needed, a president who made profits off of jobs being shipped overseas and one with offshore banking accounts in Bermuda, the Caymen Islands and Switzerland.
If that wasn't bad enough Gov. Mitt Romney and Gov. Rick Scott were involved in the largest Medicare fraud in history, neither served any time, and both became governors. Oh, well.
Polls show that it is young Republicans ages 19 to 25 who are more likely than Dems to stay at home. In poll after poll, Conservatives show their disdain for Obamacare, but being able to stay on their parents health insurance until they are 26 is the part of ACA that young Repubs love.
