Government is not afraid of our vote. Government is afraid of us, the voting taxpayer. The government cannot become tyrannical safely as long as we have guns - that was the intent of the Second Amendment, you know - weapons to use protecting ourselves from an out of control government. When a government wants total control, it cannot afford to have weapons laying around in the hands of people who know their rights and revere freedom.

Voting, on the other hand, is a totally different animal and not a right, but a privilege and a responsibility. Many voters are not responsible people and irresponsibile voters can and do usher in tyranny. Methinks the poster is trying to equate chocolate cake with bull excrement. Real Americans know the difference.

Thats the way it should be..... But its not.....We the people have long lost our voice to BIG money.... you see it every day... While we all argue over junk left & right and fight like children they the Money, buy the lawmakers for their own self interests for rules and regulations that they don't follow but we have to ,punishable by their law, Its a great deal for them and sucks for US, The problem is our Government is just in the middle with their hands out waiting for the bucks. It used to be that the squeaky wheel got the grease but now they just get a new wheel. I think the part of our Government that are afraid are the ones you see leaving.

I mostly agree with all you say. BUT, I'm tired of hearing the leftist mantra of "big money". "Big money" would be NOTHING if we put honest and honorable people into office, but too many voters care not one whit about honesty and honor - only what the politician promises to give to them. THEY are the biggest problem we have, and corrupt politicians have caused that problem as well. I find no problem with placing blame, but I believe it must properly placed. Our officials owe us, BIG TIME, yet act like dictators.

That's correct, the 2nd Amendment wasn't to allow gun ownership to go Big Game hunting...
it was to defend againts Big Government tyranny.

And "bear arms" did not restrict ownership of cannon, mines rockets or other weapons possessed by they tyrants.

For the most part, Americans are an un-armed population. Police, IRS, FBI, Military, et al have superior fire power to take us down.

The American citizen represents the greatest threat to the US Government.

And YES...the NSA is listening
