Isaiah 48: 17

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

Do we listen? Have we grown 'tone deaf' and the sound of His voice is drowned out by the sounds of this world? Do we even care anymore? Have we ignored His voice so often, that it has become so weak we are never sure if that's the Lord trying to lead us, or just our own desire telling us to do things our own way?

I ask those questions because I am wondering if it's worth my effort to post a Wednesday Devotional. I either don't get any responses, or maybe one. Last week, I did get one response, and I feel the Lord tells me - for one person it is worth it. My final question is - do you want to continue to see a Wednesday Devotional, or am I wasting my time and yours? If you don't want to post, send me a PM.

I am still here BearK and I enjoy your devotional and your morning prayers to start my day. As the world starts to wind down and we are or soon will feel the birth pains as we await the return of our Lord and savior. We will need all of the scripture and leadership available to help those in panic to go in the right direction. It will be an all hands on deck situation to save the lost. That is why your devotionals on Wednesday are so important. Some are reading and not answering and some are taking this to heart and praying. We don't know the numbers but the Lord leads and directs.

BearK, you speak true faith.
I try to do the same.
Guidance and leadership are sorely lacking in this world.
Not just in America.
I only see one man, who currently has control of his steeds.
President Putin is a no nonsense focused man.
Much like our next POTUS.
I can see them together .
I am, deep inside, a bit afraid of the future that is going to be upon us all soon.
We must elect a true leader.
I have faith in our humanity and our common sense.
I pray I am not wrong.
Like you said, It only takes one to make a difference.

Sometimes I think we are tone deaf, too busy listening to the things that we WANT to do to pay any attention to what God wants us to do. It is so much easier to spend our time in our trivial desires, than listen to what the Lord wants out of us. The pleasures of the world are fleeting, like a dandylion seed drifting past. They temporarily blind us to the bigger picture. As we concentrate on the speck before our eyes. we miss the glorious mountain and the wonderful sunrise that God has promised us. We seek the pleasures of the flesh, fill our stomachs with food, and our bodies with the pleasures of the moment, while missing the nourishment of the soul which is much more important, and the pleasures of the peace in Gods' word. Almighty God, help us to understand that tomorrow is just another day unless we use it to glorify Your name and sign your praises in all we think and do. AMEN
