With much that is going on in the world today we need to have more bright spots in our day.
A kind word & a pleasant smile should always be rewarded in kind.
Just a few of each in our day may cause many more that will make every ones day brighter.
Some days may be much harder to find those spots but if each of us looks to spread a kind word & show a pleasant smile.
You will see in others a repayment of that effort.
But it must be sincere.

Kindness may be treating people better than they deserve, yet...no act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.

To my knowledge and experience, there are no handsome Sailors. Even so, I made efforts to be kind to the soulless creatures. In return, they have been both unkind and ungrateful. :?

You, truly, should not post such self descriptions, [i]unkind and ungrateful[i]. We try to overlook these faults you have.
In conclusion, I would say.....

I spent my army career in a personnel office in Hawaii.
I was also the sections person in charge off it's 2 1/2 ton truck.
The truck that was used by us for 2 different field problems a year of about a week each.
It was up to me to provide motor stables daily.
While not using the truck at all every Monday I would have to fill the gas tank. I never knew just kept stealing the gas but suspected a couple guys from S-2 that had the 3/4 ton parked next to my truck. They had a car.
One day I went to do motor stables & the truck wasn't there.
On my way out of the motor pool I saw it up on a maintenance rack. Not having used it in months. The motor sergeant saw me & said that the cv-joints needed greasing.
The Motor Sergeant was letting others use the truck & wanted me to service it. So I replied to that with the F*** (word) the cv-joints.
He must have gotten on the phone right away Be cause when I got to the office my sgt was ready to read me the riot act.
But the Warrant Officer (Of 27 years service) said leave my boy alone. & that was that.
One time the Warrant Office said: Brown I may just adopt you one of these day. I said that would be okay with me. How much allowance would I get.He thought for a bit & said well my son is 17 teen & I give him $2.00 so I will give you $3,00
One time he said: They could give him a New officer for the office that was running smoothly. Not really needing the Officer what do you do. Give him a desk & a phone & he would soon have every piece of paper in the office going across his desk & every thing would be screwed up.

key word Slat
experience
the only experience you have is in the culinary field
also your efforts are made only at the table to get that last helping
Sailors have always been kind and generous to Jarheads
taking them free of charge to their favorite vacation spots
and even preparing and leveling the terrain so they would have few problems moving around

I stand corrected. Sailors were/are always generous with their pay in poker games....like taking candy from a baby :!: 8-) It made up for the price we paid in traveling with their company.
