Today marks the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima.
For those of you who condemn the United States for this bombing, it actually saved millions of lives. Had we invaded the Japanese mainland, there would have been millions of civilian casualties, rather than the number who died in the bombings, estimated at 150,000 to about 230,000.
If you wish a yardstick, in the late 1930s, when Japan invaded China, more than one million Chinese civilians were killed, many deliberately murdered in terror campaigns by the Japanese Imperial Army. Those who were robbed, raped and maimed are many times that number.
I have heard those who condemn the US bombings as barbaric. We were fighting barbarians, people who deliberately brutalized, tortured and murdered thousands of US, British, ANZAC, and Phillipinos who had surrendered.Their treatment of Chinese and Phillipino civilians was a whole new history of war crimes.

If we as the United States would have maintained that type of attitude the wars that we entered into from then on would have ended quicker and with less loss of life than we actually had. War is where we kill people and break things. Id we were to go over and Bomb Mecca with a small Atomic bomb the fight with ISIS would be over the following day.

Yes, the Left has a great tendency to gloss over, deny or excuse the actions of those who began the war. They only want to condemn the U.S. as war mongers, not as peace mongers.

There is no such thing as a "small" atomic bomb...But I have said many times if Iran wants a nuke ...we should just give 'em one right down there stove pipe...maybe give them 72 hours to evacuate, to shorten the collateral damage to some degree...then maybe they would shut up about it & become good world citizens...if such a thing is possible!
