The first thing I thought about was michelle bachman and her gay husband talking about pray away the gay. Prison camps will not change what's inside.

No doubt ...these people and places are dangerous, to say the least....there are some here on OPP that support " teenage behavior modification " ......sick

They picked the right place. Dominican Republic, they just started revoking the citizenship of Blacks born there.

I hadn't seen this particular story told, we know that those places exist; as you say, there are people here who either participate in or commend it at the least.
As a parent I cannot imagine turning a child/young adult over to strangers in this way regardless of the lack of acceptance of the sexual life of that offspring.
Religion enthusiasts seem to be determined to drive sane people away.

That is the strangest bit of news I have read recently.
There is certainly a history of animosity, this latest government step is horrendous.
I hope that we pressure the DR to reverse their actions.

Half the island is Haitian, half Dominica, they see the Haitian side as Black, though the Dominica side is a mixture of sSpanish, Native, and Black. Haiti has always been hated i think because they successfully freed themselves from oppression.
