I read this very very long article. Trust me there is nothing new here. All you need to know is this article was written and posted on Salon. Which I consider to be a left wing rag. He's a communist always was and always will be. Capitalism is bad. Not enough criticism of our current government which I'm sure you would expect. The fact Iran getting a nuclear bomb is not a bad thing. He obviously hates Israel. He blames America for the Cuban missle crisis. He blames America for North Korea. Naturally the middle east is being blamed on us and not radical islam. All I know is academia surely lives in a bubble. And all of the little people like us are just not smart enough to understand. Chomsky and all the other lefty's make me sick. This brand of intellect is actually being paid for at MIT. Which means all you parents paying his salary ought to stop with your little cocktail parties and pay attention.

Ditto - Chomsky has been lionized as some intellectual giant, but I learned all I needed to know about this empty vessel when I read his screed charging that America's interest in Viet Nam was economics, that we intended to get rich off of that venture. Anyone that economically ignorant should be grateful to be fed - and the generosity of America is manifest that fools like Chomsky get to eat what others produce.

I finished this article yesterday, I found it interesting and informative, There were many issues that I was not familiar with from my knowledge of history, After doing some fact checking today, I have found I learned some new facts from the history of our great nation, some of those facts I did not agree with or like at first glance but proved to be accurate in the article.This Chomsky fella may have something to offer on his perspective of things even if I don't see things completely his way, maybe staying open minded before trashing someone will make the Tea Party seem less insane, :thumbup:

you call people morons, when you don't know what a democracy is, you don't know what a republic is, it really has nothing to do with what political party your in. You need take the time and simply look up the definitions of these two words so they are clear to you, especially for the country you live in and why it makes it so great,because that has everything to do with those two words.Our founding fathers not only trusted democracy they created this country's government with it as its governing base.you will understand this after you look up both these words. you are not alone in this misunderstanding
