If they are leaving the party for the published reasons, good for them!

I also have refused to "donate" to the RNC for some of those same reasons. The Republican party needs to "grow a pair" and start acting like they actually "disagree" with the Democrats, instead of "talking the talk" but not "walking the walk".

And as of late they aren't even talking the talk but are instead agreeing with the demoncrats as they sell us down the river. This gang of eight amnesty bill is a prime example.

Where are they going? Being from Main, they should not be considered Republican in the first place.

Guess they are going to help Democrats or become a candidate for the (D) party?

I don't know do you think that the party could start it's own party or is there to much of a stigma attached to the name tea party. Maybe if they created a political party and gave it a name like the constitutional party it would stick. Or maybe someone could do something with the words fiscally responsible party. I don't know but maybe this is heading us in a new direction.

I wonder why the Huffington Post didn't elaborate on the comments - the Republicans in Maine restricting freedoms and reaching into pockets - can it be that Republicans in Maine are like Democrats everywhere else?

You got that right, take Snowe, and Collins. Left as one can get. They vote with the Dems every time. If the 13 are like them, it's no loss, maybe a gain.

These folks did not have to leave the GOP. The GOP is dying around them. 50,000 Latinos turn 18 EVERY month in America. They will not support a party consisting of old ,white low IQ, folks.

That little pittance you are withholding from the GOP is laughable. They have the Kochs,Adelman,The pizza guy ,etc. The GOP just needs you dummies to keep voting in the interests of the rich and against your own.

I see, not only are you a racist, but you are also an agist. Perhaps you are not aware that 30 states are led by Republican governors - but that wouldn't surprise this old white low IQ guy - ignorance is expected from folks who make such statements.

Are you really under the impression that all rich people support Republicans, and only the poor support Democrats. Is your reality that warped, really, or is this just posturing?

Maybe if someone had the stat sheet (I saw it a long time ago) that showed the wealth relating to the democrats in congress and the republicans in congress they may be surprised at what there leaders are trying to get them to believe versus what the facts are. I know when I saw it I was stunned and I also thought that the sheet had their wealth coming in and their wealth at present. I know why they don't want term limits and I know they will kick and fuss like a spoiled two year old having a tantrum if it occurs. Hell if I had access to that much wealth taken away from me I would to.

All our "little pittance"s add up, as the party has found out. Why can't you libs write ONE sentence without name-calling? Do you know how tiresome you are? Besides, we can handle this site without you.

Dave, the effects of the 2010 elections have lead to the gerrymandering ,that is going on in those states controlled by the GOP. It has lead to all those voter ID,anti choice, stand your ground, laws. These laws in turn have alienated Blacks, women, latinos, young.and the intelligent. So you and your low IQ white, ilk are what is left. The ground is shifting under your feet.
