At 79 I was up on the roof of the other house - steeper, higher roof. When the insurance adjuster was up there he looked down and asked me if I had done that. I gingerly admitted it. He very UNKINDLY said, "Well, don't do it again." I didn't think that was very nice of him. He could have said it in a nicer tone. Right!
Some people, who know my age, act as though they have to be of assistance. What's going on with this younger generation? Pansies! Just because there's been a BIT of water over the dam doesn't mean I've run dry. I don't teeter or stagger when I walk. I can balance on one foot while the other one touches my calf. I can do pilates - you know the V, but I do bend my knees. I can sit flat legged on the floor and touch my forehead to my knees - if you think that's easy - TRY IT!
By the grace of God, I will be able to do those things up to the day He calls me home. And, Amen to that.
