I have said before, and this is so important, at least for me -

When you lose the 'child within' that's when you will go downhill and unwind.
That child walks with God as their trust and their Light.

I am now 82; mow my acre with my John Deere (I'm very fond of him); today I took the electric trimmer out to trim some bushes, but it did get awfully hot so after a couple of hours, I left a fair amount for tomorrow. You do it all in one day - what are you going to do the next day - Right!

At 79 I was up on the roof of the other house - steeper, higher roof. When the insurance adjuster was up there he looked down and asked me if I had done that. I gingerly admitted it. He very UNKINDLY said, "Well, don't do it again." I didn't think that was very nice of him. He could have said it in a nicer tone. Right!

Some people, who know my age, act as though they have to be of assistance. What's going on with this younger generation? Pansies! Just because there's been a BIT of water over the dam doesn't mean I've run dry. I don't teeter or stagger when I walk. I can balance on one foot while the other one touches my calf. I can do pilates - you know the V, but I do bend my knees. I can sit flat legged on the floor and touch my forehead to my knees - if you think that's easy - TRY IT!

By the grace of God, I will be able to do those things up to the day He calls me home. And, Amen to that.

P.S. I liked your jokes BB.

It's very sad, but there are some who have never known the child within. They lose out on the wonders of life.

Indeed sad. They are the ones who never learned that sometimes it is enough to be hugged by yourself.

I had to go to town today, it was great - I felt like smiling (nothing odd there, not if you know me) and so many people were looking me in the eye and smiling back. How up-lifting that is, smiles from strangers.

I don't get too many smiles back
when I look people in the eye
but I get a lotta downright shrieks and laughter
