No thanks, don't want to have to be disinfected, or take a tetanus shot.

I don't hate, but I certainly dislike those that I know, certainly distrust all of them.

haha! Seriously though, I was watching a thing about the Nazi death camps and listened to how the Jews and other "undesirables" were described by the Germans - and was appalled by the similarities to the way WE describe each other.
Republicans and Democrats demonize each other, and as you mentioned, describe each other as less than human, vermin, pest, parasites - needing immediate eradication.
In order to avoid having our consciences keep us up at night, we devolve those we don't like and describe them as "savages", "retarded", "socially unacceptable", "communists", or any one of a number of favorite derogatory terms.
We really should take note of this, because that's exactly how the German people talked themselves into accepting the Nazi atrocities. What are we talking OURSELVES into?

What you say makes sense, and it was the norm on this site and others for a long while. But mostly the vindictive started after Mr. Obama became president and his followers, decided that if anyone disagreed with them, they were dirty, mean, crazy, nasty, dumb and lazy, oh yes and racist. I think the days of civil communication are as far gone as the civil society that was America.
Maybe not, I truly pray we can someday get back to accepting someone's opinion at face value. I guess its like this for me. State your opinion, defend it, and if no compromise can be reached, accept it and move on.
Are you crazy, It's all about their agendas, "Do-goderism" acting without thinking about the ramifications and end result. e.g.. ObamaCare the ACA, They did not get one GOP vote or ask for a Bi-partizenship input to ObamaCare the ACA.
It was rammed down the American peoples. And the majority of Americans still do not want ObamaCare the ACA.
Democrats will not talk or listen, or even understand the ramifications to their "Do-goderism." How can you have a conversation with a person who not talk facts in a intellectual discussion.
No, once biten, twice shy. Since you stated it, its all yours, you go and hug a democrat today.
Until they stop their deviousness and divisiveness and this national Alinsky rules for radicals brainwashing technique, It will be a cold day in Hell.

Are you suggesting that we ignore the muslim creed of murdering everybody they CAN! In the interests of "Not Hating"?? Now, bend over , put your head down there, while I get my sword out of my scabbard!
The title of the thread is "Stop the Hate".
The newest catchword thrown around here seems to be "hate". Maybe that will replace the equally silly "racist" word

I didn't say anything about ignoring evil, I was speaking about how we address each OTHER. Had the German people NOT fallen prey to the "Jews are the ultimate evil" propaganda campaign, they might have stopped Hitler in his tracks.
I also pointed out that we have similar campaigns here; "democrats/liberals are the ultimate evil" and "republicans/conservatives are the ultimate evil" - and we have some knowledge of where such propaganda campaigns may lead.

"What's the difference" both are Alinksi buzz words meant to excuse the left's lack of facts!

 Me? I'm just gonna hug everyone regardless of affiliation that I'm fairly certain isn't cleverly hiding a knife or gun somewhere on their person. What is everyone afraid of, that an opinion of another 'might' have some credence, some kernel of truth, or the Good Lord above forbid, that a different opinion 'might' corrupt somehow??!!?? I have to wonder when, exactly, having a 'personal' opinion became a carnal sin and disrespecting someone for an opinion different from theirs became acceptable in 'polite' society.
