Israel has killed over 3,500 Palestinians in Gaza over the past 7 years-- over 800 of those killed have been children.

Israel helped create Hamas as a deterrent to the PLO.

It's highly likely that Israel is supplying the mostly harmless rockets to Israeli operatives within the Hamas movement as an excuse to reduce the population of Gaza whenever they choose.
